  2. i lodged my initital letter in June and have now had two of these letters looking for another 4 weeks. Not sure what to do, give them an opportunity to investigate or just launch straight in with an action?
  3. i sent a prelim request, received ackowledgement that they are investigating
  4. having read all your experiences with FT i think i am going to request an estimated refund over the course of two letters and if that doesn't produce the desired result go straight to small claims. I have tallied up all my referrals and arrangement fees overt the years and it's coming in at £1550
  5. I sent in a DSAR request recently. Got a response rather promptly and (wait for it) they decided in this instance not to apply the £10 fee and refunded it to me!! All i got was a print out of my statements. Details of manual interventions are "not held on a relevant filing system" Am i to assume from this that all my charges were automated? Secondly, I have totally up all my referral charges and arrangements fees, but left out the quarterly fees and charges i attracted for now remaining in credit for the quarter - is this correct thing to do?
  6. apologies, should have checked the faq.
  7. I have recently closed an account with the First Trust but still bacnk with them in another branch. Can i claim the charges back for the account i have recently closed?
