  1. No, I have not kept any of the correspondance from 3 years ago. I can't remember if the Notice to Keeper was served on time. I must have admitted to having been the driver as it was a company vehicle. Is "ignoring" still the best course of action?
  2. Yes, the letter is from PWE. I can't remember any details of the "offence" or previous communication with them. The "offending" vehicle has since been scrapped though. LOL
  3. I have just recieved a "Parking charge - final reminder" from Park with Ease. It refers to a period of parking dated July 2014 (3 years and 5 months ago) I ignored their begging letters back then and have heard nothing from them for over 3 years. Can they pursue this after all this time?
  4. Thanks ODC, I am now living South of the border, and will send letter M. Mr A
  5. They are threatening court action again, so I'll send them the stat barred letter (template M). Should I adjust the wording from "6 years" to "5 years" as the a/c was from a Scottish address?
  6. HHHhhmmm, on reading a few other Lowell threads, it seems I may have neglected to send the "account in dispute" letter after they failed to respond to my CCA request after 10+2 days. Can anyone tell me if I should just move on to the "statute barred" letter. Regards Mr A
  7. Here are photobucket links, to the scanned papers http://i485.photobucket.com/albums/rr218/Anchovy/scan2.jpg http://i485.photobucket.com/albums/rr218/Anchovy/scan1.jpg
  8. Back again! Letter received today (21st Jan) from Lowells, with "original credit agreement" enclosed. I requested CCA from them 11/10/08 and eventually received the "file closed" letter on 02/12/08. The "original credit agreement" is a very shady photocopy dated 2001. Anyway, why are they pestering me again? I thought they had 10+2 days to find the CCA, it's been more than 70 days now. Should I now find out if this "debt" is indeed statute barred? ......or just ignore them for a while again. regards Mr A.
  9. Hi Goodyear, I have recently been pestered by Lowells too. I ignored their letters until they threatened court action, then CCAed them. They couldn't prove debt existed and closed the file. As far I know, any debt I may have had would be statue barred anyway, thus uncollectable. I received great help from the CAGers here. Heres my thread http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/debt-collection-industry/154396-advice-lowell-letter.html#post1644180 Good luck, Mr Anchovy
  10. Almost exactly 4 months since the first correspondence from Lowells....I've now received the "closed file" letter. Thank you so much to all those CAG'ers that helped me out.
  11. Letter received 10/11/08 but dated 3/11/08 (My CCA request sent 11/10/08) "I can confirm our client has yet to furnish us with your agreement"...... ....."there will be no further correspondence from us until the agreement has been received at which point we will require payment in full" Is this them giving up? Can I expect anymore bull from them? Do I get my £1 postal order back? Mr A
  12. Yup! As predicted, letter received today (Oct 31st) offering 60% reduction.
  13. "We are in receipt of your CCA request" letter arrived today (24th) but dated 17th. I sent the CCA request on the 11th. The letter ends "We will inform you if it will take longer than the prescribed period to find this information." Guess I'll just wait then......
  14. Checked the royal mail track and trace "service" again today. The website still cant trace it. Phoned automated royal mail tracking service, again "please try again later". Phoned royal mail complaints to see if I could speak to a human being, again "we have no record of it being signed for". Why exactly did I send it recorded? Anyway, I'll assume that it has been "bulk signed" or that they are still trying to deliver. This Friday (24th) will be 2 weeks since I sent CCA request to Lowell.
