Good moaning,
I'm just about to embark on my quest. I'm not expecting there to be large figures involved (probably sub £200) but I've had so many problems with the Halifax recently (they charged me silly amounts for paying my credit card 2 hours (yes, 2 hours) early and I paid 4 times the minimum amount too), than I'm pleased that I've finally got the opportunity to stick it to them.
I've read through the FAQs, I've collated the documents from the library, yet I've still got a couple of questions.
I've multiple accounts with the Halifax - Current, Joint Account, 2 savings accounts (I don't expect any charges here), and 4 credit cards (Actually only one, but as I had it stolen/lost it a couple of times I was re-issued with new creditcards with new numbers. So, my question, can I used the standard DPA request letter to request information on ALL of my accounts, simply by listing all of the account numbers at the top? If this is possible, then how would I provide details of my credit cards (I of course don't want to list the full 16 digit number on the letter)?
I plan on handing the letter in to my local branch tomorrow (do I have to address the envelope to anyone in particular?).
Thanks for reading.
