  1. Thanks for your reply. Im afraid my licence has been delayed due to the virus and i have no idea if and when i will get it back. Once i have everything fully legal can i drive it again . The dvla are not answering calls or online chats and emails so i have no idea whether my application is being accepted or sent back.
  2. Hi Folks i hope everyone is well during these crazy times. Last year my girlfriend (now ex) was driving my car on the Motorway. I could not drive due to a ban. She was considered 'high risk' at the time, the car was pulled over one day due to my car being marked and her being the driver. Now my ban has come to an end and i am about to put my car back on the road. Is there a way of checking that my car is marked by the police or not? I dont want to be pulled over by the police while im driving my car especially if i have family in the car? cheers
  3. many thanks for your help , this forum is wonderful ;)
  4. i saved all the debts, amounts, default dates, original creditors on a spreadsheet for easy reference, i may have got them from old credit reports or from my old step change documentation.
  5. No everything seems fine although Link financial did do a 'hard' search on my file in Sept 2019. I do not know why they did this.
  6. just to note there are no defaults on my credit file. thanks again
  7. I just saw on my spread-sheet that BC put the default on 10-12-2010 however i got no evidence of this. Should i send a sar now or just wait and see what develops?
  8. Many thanks dx All i know is Link defaulted my account in 2013 and i had to go to the ombudsman to get it removed. I cant be sure is BC did default this account or not. BC did default the other account though. Will i do a sar on this account? thanks
  9. Many thanks dx I looked at my spreadsheet and from what i have noted there was a default on 11/01/2011 from BC. I thought the SB clock was ticking from the last token payment in 2016 and not the original default date. On the other BC account i have, it was also originally defaulted by BC however Link also put a default against my credit record,i had to go to the Ombudsman to get the default removed. I will check my credit file and see if link have defaulted me again or not. cheers
  10. I apologise i just seen you had replied on the new posts you have made, i never got a notification, thanks, i will reply on there.
  11. Many thanks dx. Am i right in thinking they are not taking any further action at the moment? ;) Thanks
  12. Hi Guys here is the latest reply from Link Financial, can someone please have a look at it and see if ineed to do anything to respond? The date of the letter was the 12th feb 2020, the letters are sent to my daughters address so there is a bit of a delay in her opening the letters for me. Many thanks upload pdf link 12-02 - Copy.pdf Im not 100% sure of the way they have worded it, are they saying that they are taking no further action.?
  13. Here is copy of their acknowledgement letters, it looks like ill await their response if and when that may be. Cheers all. Link reply letter.pdf pdf uploaded, many thanks dx.
  14. Thanks Stu, Just to let you know the full amount is in my account. It looks like the letting agent were trying to rip me off after all. Thanks for the advise, the next property that i rent i will take pics before and after as i cannot trust the lying thieving letting agents. I was given a copy of the DPS literature but all the emails from them were in my spam folder and i never know they were there.
  15. Some good news, for some reason i am getting the full deposit back without any deductions, i confirmed this through my DPS account today. I dont know why the letting agent has decided not to claim against me but im not questioning it. I did think they were out of order claiming for wear and tear items. From what i know they should not be claiming this off me, they should be doing it through the DPS.
  16. I believe i touched up the walls to an acceptable standard, i just hope the adjudicator agrees.
  17. Thanks for your reply. I thought they had to send it to the DPS to decide on. I did not think they were supposed to try and get me to agree on the claims before hand. I told them i dispute all their claims but they seem to be blanking me. I will write them another email regarding the freezer door and see if it makes any difference. Am i able to start the DPS process to get the ball rolling or is it only the letting agent that can do this?
  18. Thanks for your reply. I dont have any pics of before and after. The independent inspection did though. As you say any scuffs on the wall are down to wear and tear. I did fill in the holes that i made on the walls, i dabbed them with the correct colour of paint to blend them in. The walls already had many patchy areas due to previous patched up areas. There is also a big nasty crack that goes from the ceiling to the top of the fireplace, that has always been there. So the living room is not exactly in excellent order to start with. I fixed the freezer door before i left but i guess the superglue did not last, the inspection woman certainly did not notice it. They have picked up on this after the inspection and key hand over. I guess i cant deny that one. The curtain track. I complained about it many months ago. The little cheapo clips keep on failing, its impossible to hang the rail up due to it's cheap and nasty design, i did try many times. I just left it as i did not use that room. I was sick to death of the amount of time i wasted due to repair men and electricians in and out my house, i was not going to waste more time because of a curtain rail.
  19. Hi Guys. My tenancy ended at the end of January 29th. There was an independent company did the pre and post tenancy inspection. I believe i left the place in good decorative order and cleaned to a decent standard. I recently got an email from the letting agent (who had changed hands) to deduct stupid amounts for minor wear and tear and because of some minor marks on the walls where i had filled and touched up the holes i made hanging small surround speakers. From what i know the DPS is supposed to handle the deductions or claims and not the letting agent. I was very rude to them and i accused them of ripping me off, i also asked that this be referred to the DPS to handle. Well its been a few days and i have heard nothing despite me sending a further email to ask for this to go to the DPS. What should i do next guys? This is the email they sent.
