wow - this threads an eye opener...after owning the old scenic diesel for 10 yrs with only a wheel bearing going i thought id upgrade to the mk2 1.9 dci...i got one with a full dealer service history and only 70,000 miles - not even run in yet for a renault diesel so i thought! yep - turbo blew within 2000 miles, 800 quid to replace then within another few hundred miles it started drinking oil now the new turbos gone again . ill never buy a renault ever again. i would reccomend the old mk1 scenics to anyone but the mk2 is some kind of bad joke surley. im getting a peugeot saturday and was telling the dealer about the scenic, its a well known fault apparently and they wouldnt touch them px....how can renault get away with this?

hello again, just thought id check in for a bit of a look, last ukpc fine went away, this time its gone to debt recoveryplus very quickly (they prob recognised the address lol). im getting regular letters off drp now, is the advice still the same - bin! i know it is but its nice to have the reassurance! todays was 'notice of intended litigation' theres still no mention of 'offence' on any letters. without trawling back trrough the hunded plus pages was debt recovery plus another branch of ukpc if i remember right or has it changed? ps. this time i just completley ignored all letters from day 1 from ukpc, last time i had the usual letter war. thanks caz

i ignored pcuk bout 2 year ago for a false offence they made up...leaving b&q carpark on foot or something.i got a nice pic of my car parked properly!!! today about 2 YEARS later... i get a letter from ccs enforcement telling me to pay 115 by the 11th or there will be 'no alternative to legal action'. obv im not going to pay but whats the story with this ccs? any info appreciated? i cant believe ive got this 2 years later. i sent pcuk templates off this site before a cease and desist if i remember rightly, then got the old hunter and forrest or whatever it was.then it all stopped.

i heard nothing for a month or so now after them offering to reduce the payment to the original £45 or whatever it was (it had risen to £115 and the baliffs were coming etc etc...). it just shows that they have no legal right and talk a load of "$%^$, ukpc is a national scandal... its even more of a scandal that people just pay up... theyre just mugging people in a different way... b&q have lost £££££ in trade off me and my family, serves em right for using illegal jobsworths to patrol their bit of tarmac. good luck everyone and thanks for the advice... dont pay em a penny.

i sent a letter 'demanding' the evidence...just save your stamps m8. they wont send you any evidence,im still waiting for my court date etc etc... they can produce their evidence then (yea right !!!) if you do send one send it second class recorded as they mysteriously didnt recieve any of the unrecorded ones i sent. the advice on here is spot on but hard to do when your fuming after getting your letter with their illegal fine...just file them all under 'bin'.

just sift about the site m8, i just looked from page 1 on this thread, its worth 1/2 hour to read all the posts anyway to give you some confidence in the fight. theres a link to a cracking legal piece telling you everything you need to know somewhere.ive took 3 or 4 templates and ajusted them to suit, even tho ukpc will reject them they give you some comeback. send them recorded tho (2nd class of course) as they mysteriously had no record of my unrecorded ones great site and people here.

yes m8, dont pay it but be ready for loadsa letters and threats, just come back on here when you feel like paying to get em off your back. theyre ****. read the legal stuff and templates before you send any angry letters. id say good luck but looking at all the posts on here i dont think you will need it.

got another latter off ukpc after my cease and desist letter today, they offered the original 'charge' for a period of 2 weeks! they say i will hear nothing further off them now but if i dont pay its in the hands of their debt collectors (again). i just want them to take me to court because they have no evidence whatsoever. on a different note when stopped at the traffic lights near the b&q store whos carpark i got the illegal fine in,i actually saw the ukpc vermin sneaking round.NO UNIFORM, taking very quick pictures of cars,he did 2 in the 30 secs i was at the lights! dont pay em a penny. if your thinking of doing get the moral support off this site. cheers again everyone.

thanks barnsley boy, i dont think ive heard the last of them yet (surley theyve got a few letters left in them) but the help of this site, the template letters and everyone on it has been invaluable, a big thanks to everyone involved. it makes my blood boil thinking of all the people (esp oap's who must be scared of them) bullied into paying illegal (and in my case totally made up) charges by some rouge company. the funny thing is that these traders who employ the crooks to run their car parks must have lost £1000's of pounds in revenue.im just one person and ill never shop in my local b&q ever again. good luck to everyone and keep the faith, dont pay them a penny.

today i recieved a letter of UKPC (2 days after recording a letter telling them to take me to court!! after no previous replies to the previous unrecorded letters). they actually say they will drop the fine as good will gesture IF i can produce any reciepts that i used the retail park that day!!!! obviously i havnt got any because they put no ticket on the car (obv then i would have saved the reciept),just sent a lovley picture of my car parked perfectly a week or so later! i think i only got a small bottle of oil anyway...why would i keep the reciept? plus it was on the 18th feb. funnily enough the carpark in question has now put all nice new shiny stickers on the vastly increased number of signs, stating that you cannot leave the car park on foot!!! prob due to the number of UKPC complaints. anyway im probobly going to send a cease and desist (till they send a court date) then reply to no more. hell will freeze before they get 1p off me. (even if a judge ordered it,which he wont, theyll then get it in 1ps by courier (obv 1p short) cheers

haha chris, same as my letter (except as youve been charged £5 more!!!) ive just had time to read through every post and the excellent legal post on the site (you REALLY need to read that, its brilliant) and i will defo not be parting with a penny until a judge tells me to! if i had discovered this site a few weeks earlier i prob wouldnt have replied in the first place to anything off ukpc, but armed with their laughable 'evidence' and photos of the car park signs i am dying for them to take me to court! the only letters i will be writing now are to trading standards complaining of ukpc business practices and maybe report them to the police for harrassment! i did send my final 3 letters to ukpc, hunter forrest and the manager of the b&q store (telling him i would be calling on him to give evidence) asking them to take me to court. i will not be replying to anything else other than a court date letter now. good luck.
