  1. Hi Woozie First off DON'T panic, 6weeks is what they are allowed anyway, so thats no problem. What I would suggest is that you check to see if they have taken the money for DPA payment form your account and if not then tell them you will send a cheque instead, it might take a touch longer but don't worry. If they have taken it then the count down to receiving your statements has begun but only give them the 40 days and no more. Keep us posted All the best.
  2. It also means that they can't claim "manual intervention" if it goes to court, so keep that letter:p
  3. Go get 'um stacey. hope you got my reply to your PM.
  4. I think you now need to give them 14 days to decide if they are going to pay before you file a money claim.
  5. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE read the FAQ and as many threads as possable, you need to do this the right way. The Halifax charges £10.00 to send your statements so my guess is you won't get them untill you send the money.
  6. Yes you can. They'll tell you anything to stop you claiming the charges back. Go to the FAQ area and read everything, then read as many of the forum threads as you can to get a good idea of how to do things. Good Luck and you will always find someone here to help.
  7. Their computer is spoilt, it keeps throwing tantrums like that. All the best and good luck:p
  8. It sounds to me that they are stalling, just stick to your gunsand tell them that if you don't get the statements by the 40th day you will contact the data people to report them. Tell them that you will not discuss this fruther over the phone, they have just 2 days to comply. All the best
  9. Good Luck This link should take you to the calc http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/chargeinterest.php
  10. Hi Now the fun begins. Be sure to read the FAQ area and as many threads as you can, this has to be done the right way. Good luck to you.
  11. Just another quickie Is threr anything else I should be looking for? thanks
  12. Thanks both your stars.
  13. Hi Everyone Sorry to be a pain but... I am currently claiming my bank charges back from the Halifax and know what i'm doing (?) but my son has asked me to help with his charges with Barclays. Some bits on his statements I don't understand (my son is away so he can't help) What are? "Paid referral":?: and "Unpaids out":?: seems to be a lot of these, is this what i'm looking for or are these lawful charges? any help would be great, or could someone point me in the right direction. Thanks
