Hi Pesty and Legend, as I see that your both online I`ve kept myself updated and thought I`d just send you both a message of encouragement. I really think they are paying up all the time now but it just takes time! In my case the charges came first put into my account. Then a letter from N/W telling me they were refunding. then the interest went into the account. then, finally a letter from court saying their `Defence` was that they had `Paid up`. So i`m sure it wont be long for all of you out there.

SITTINGPRETTY, Just hang in there gal and start SITTINGTIGHT... I did exactly the same as you and copied Martins templates without sending the `schedule` off. And just the same as you I was pannicking that I`d stuffed everything up...... Look what happened to me . No defence although they said they were. So calm down, chill out and stop pannicking!!!!! I`m sure everyone is going to get paid out after my experience and amount they paid me. YOURS IS COMEING

personally LEGEND I agree with MILKTRAYMAN. I would leave it to see their defence first and be patient withour rushing into something you might regret. Sorry, thats my opinion.

Hi Bernie, I`ve read all through your thread and have great pity in your plight. As you`ve got this far eventually, me personally would either calculate all the distress they`ve caused you and tell them they need to offer you a far greater sum than a measly 100 quid. At the same time I would go and see a solicitor to find out the legalities on how to be awarded `damages`. The good thing is that it sounds as if they are addmitting liability by offering you money now. I`d go for them now!!

Goodmorning GIRLYBIKER, personally I think they are unindated with claims and sorting them as they get round to it. I dont think theres any hard and fast rule. When I called the N/W a couple of weeks ago they did say that they were leaving claims right up to the last few days as they were extremely busy. As far as the MNO goes those were the old days when I earnt mega bucks and could throw it around. Oh, how times change. These days I`m far more sensible and frugal.

MAC, No worries i`ts coming your way sooner than you think. Anyway I`m off to bed now cus I`ve been on this site too often till 3o.clock in the morning and I`m going fishing in the morning.

WELL HERE GOES! This morning got my post as usual at 12am. only to find a letter from NATIONWIDE. TOo be honest i thought it was just my monthly statement. SURPRISE, SURPRISE. They said they had put into my account the amount I was asking for plus interest plus £250 court costs. All this with one day to go before they had to enter their defence. I still cant believe it that I actually got my doh. I always consider to be so unlucky. At this point I would like to thank EVERYONE subscibing to the CAG network. Without knowledge we would be nowhere.Couldone of those LOVELY MODERATERS kindly move my thread on to the SUCCESS STORIES. After quickly looking on the site today there seems to have been several SUCCESS STORIES today..............I still am smiling after several hours all the way to the bank.

you need to prepare yourself and dont get complacent thinking it wont go all the way cus it might just do that. DO YOUR HOMEWORK AND GET PREPARED. There are loads of places to get info. i`ll let you know who to look up.

RACHEL, when i rang the N.Wide up last week to find out what was happening about their defence, they told me that they leave it till the last couple of days before deadline as they are too busy. However, you could alwys ring up the court. Some of them are quite helpful. And they maybe able to tell you what and whether theres a defence filed.
