  2. donation made.. and judging by interest in the office when i saw i'd got the money back, there's gonna be a few more dusgruntled bankers from this area of Leeds signing up!
  3. yo mods - please help! i'm trying to make a donation to the site, and Paypal is not allowing me to! it says i'm not verified and as i don't have a land line it won't verify me by phone (the problems never end!) is there another way to donate? cheers!
  4. i know, but i'm pretty much a lost cause tho.. i'll end up having to get my wage paid into my mum's or ex-wife's account.. or picking up a cheque! why don't they give you a brown envelope every week? - we'd all be ok wouldn't we?
  5. aw go on then - thought you'd never ask! my claim was ACKNOWLEDGED on the 14th June, and i heard absolutely nothing from that day til today (the 12th day) - i checked online mid-morning and the money was in my account - £2,643 to be precise! mu only worry now is, i have no parachute account and they'll be getting tetchy soon won't they? i'm in the process of trying the CO-OP.
  6. yup, they bit the bullet! i got my money back from the suckers. KEEP GOING AND YOU GET THERE IN THE END HONEST! - i was damn sure i was gonna be the first in court. but i'm not! donation coming.. and a massive thank you to EVERYONE on the site. working class heroes..
  7. nightmare! - i JUST covered the £120 i needed to make the Moneyclaim payment. its left me skint but we'll all get there mate..
  8. well done son! i know you were nervous and ting but you saw it through..
  9. hey, i've had a few requests like that! at least 'when it goes to court' i haven't got far to walk to meet their defence..
  10. well... kind of - ever heard of HALIFAX!!!!!!!!!? (believe it or not!)
  11. hey we all did - and that's why there's such a great sense of community on here. its a real feelgood when after years of suffering alone with it and being too embarrassed/scared to do owt, you get so much help and support off random strangers!
  12. well done! it would have been mad if that one went to court!
  13. nothing to report like, i'm just sitting and waiting, sitting and waiting i'm at my desk at work - headphones on and this song comes on by The Transplants - its called 'We Trusted You' and the lyric is almost entirely relevant to everyone on the site - let me share a selection of lyrics. CHORUS: We trusted you, we put out a helping hand Only in return, we get a stabbing in the back ...Took us for granted, let's start here Friendship over, so very clear Then what is fair is gonna be fair **** you...you're over... ...Stood by your side, you put a knife in my back Never ever thought it'd be you who would do me like that But we live and we learn, or so it's said .....The mistakes I've made won't happen again Keep my enemies closer than I keep my friends .....Will we ever be the same? Well my answer is no Don't wake up now, it's gonna be too late Don't give me that **** about cleaning the slate You've been at it too long, all your life that I've checked Now your time's almost up.... If you don't stand for nothing I can't really stand behind you Who knew you withdrew your point of view I lost mine, you cry and whine all the time And I cant stand aside or anywhere near you I'd get in check, you're a wreck, no respect, i know this is completely irrelevant so please bear with me! but last night i was beginning to think that nice as it would be to get the cash BACK (and god knows i'm skint - but i'm just so used to being skint!), i really hope it GOES TO COURT! i don't feel scared of the process like i initially did. i'm living in Halifax, i know people at the 'Halifax COURIER' (the local rag) and i'd love to stand there armed with the great arguments posted elsewhere on this site and look someone representing the Halifax right in the eye and talk it through! and i know i could get some emotional mileage out of the torment they brought to my life when i really needed a LITTLE EXTRA HELP!! rant over, cheers for listening! (its lunchtime, i'm bored)
  14. cheers for all the useful advice on this - will definitely buy the info.
  15. well done mp1962 - you cracked it! i filed and was acknowledged the same day as you, so its good to hear your news.. enjoy YOUR money.
  16. you're right it does, thank you for that Tinkerbelle..
  17. i've still heard nothing from the Halifax. my claim was 'acknowledged' on the 14th June.. it says on the Moneyclaim site that the defendant has 28 days to reply. so does anybody know from their experience - do i need to worry nearer the 28 day mark about a court appearance? cheers!
  18. hey cheers, hey at least we don't let it get us down! i could burst into song myself - you know that Maximo Park song which goes.. 'what happens when you lose everything? you start all over again!' have a good one, ta for the support..
  19. i think you've got a good plan there blinky.. give your brain the week off. this will make you laugh - i can't drive, so NO drivers licence. AND when I got divorced, my ex-wife ripped up/ threw out my passport. i've not replaced it in 2 years, cos state of my cashflow, holidays are the last thing i'm gonna be doing.. - add it all together and on paper i don't think i even exist! ps. have a great 'week off'
  20. really? - it feels more and more like '1984' every year.. it scares me how you can get 'lost in the system'.
