  2. You really need to check with your travel agent or with Thomsons if you booked with them direct as some airlines won't carry passengers that are 28 weeks pregnant.
  3. The problem is that alot of the budget airlines don't allocate seat numbers (easy jet don't even allocate a seat number at check in, its just a free for all when you get on the plane!!) they usually have in their terms and conditions that the tickets are non refundable, however most will allow you to change the date and or name on your ticket for an admin fee. (I've just checked ThomsonFlys T&C and they do state "All bookings are non-refundable.") Even scheduled air (British Airways, Virgin etc) have rules on their tickets, the cheaper the ticket the more restrictive the rules. For example you might buy a flight to New York with British Airways for £200 plus taxes, however the ticket will probably have 100% cancellation charges. First Class and Business Class fares are the highest and are therefore less restrictive. Does your friend have travel insurance? If they can't travel for a reason covered by their insurance then they might be able to claim back any money lost.
  4. Will you be framing this? Direct line to their legal department noted
  5. I thought I would send them a little reminder on Tuesday to remind them that they only had a few days to go...this is the response I got on Wednesday..... Suprise surprise nothing since!! Oh well the clock's ticking.....their 14 days are up tomorrow!!
  6. I did an online application for a Natwest Step account the day I sent my letter to Halifax, that was 3rd March, I received an application pack back from them last week which I returned and this morning my account details arrived And trust me with my current credit rating, if they will give me an account they will give anyone one lol
  7. Firstly what a wonderful web site to stumble upon keep up the good work As I've sent my initial letter to the Halifax I thought I should keep you up to date on what's happening. I sent my initial letter on 3rd March via the Halifax website (sorry it's taken so long to get around to posting) giving them 14 days to pay back the £1138 that they have unlawfully taken from me, I received the following on the 4th March Since then nothing!! No surprise there!! Since sending the letter the amount has increased to £1267!!!! And there are further charges pending. I will be getting my next letter ready for them to send on Friday when their 14 days are up.
