  1. Ok we are not going to get a chq book for business account, I realise that now but does ANYONE know of ANY bank in NI who would consider us, really getting difficult now to move forward
  2. I, too, am desperately seeking an answer to this question. I applied for personal current account with Co-Op and got rejected. Phoned today and they have deferred me for Cashminder but girl on phone seemed to think that was because it was Saturday, she said she had never had anyone rejected. On Friday I posted application for Co-Op business account but after being rejected for personal account today, I am thinking same thing will happen with business account
  3. Thank you for the reply Sadly no PPI to claim, I never had it and already claimed for husband some time ago. And yes I read the invaluable advice signposted from you sig - thank you, it help alot
  4. Hi I have been reading and reading and reading....... We have approx £45k debt - £10k O/D's, £24k CC and £1k loan owing. We have managed to keep up minimum payments on CC, bar one (the biggest) of which we have missed one month. Spoke with Payplan mid week and they suggested DMP. However, I need to clarify some issues, for which I would be very grateful for any advice available. 1. Husband is self employed sole trader, one of creditors is his bank - £2k personal O/D and £5k business O/D. Thus we need a new business bank account. We live in NI and so NatWest is not available, have applied to Co-Op today for basic business account. We don't want O/D but do need chq book for supplier payments. Anyone any experience of getting business account with a chq book? 2. There are some informal debts with suppliers, nothing formal, and we are paying them all. Am I right in thinking we don't need to add these to DMP - we can clear them all in 6 months if we go on DMP. (Business has been trying to pay suppliers AND personal debts) 3. I have no idea about checking enforceability - I am thinking we may as well be hung for a sheep as a lamb and if I can check this out first, would that not be to our benefit??? 4. Plan is to save as much as possible in Credit Union and then borrow from them to clear debt with F&F. I am led to believe Irish CU's don't credit check therefore debt will not show anywhere, although am aware that payment should come from 3rd party. 5. Am I on the right track or have I got this all horribly wrong Many thanks for reading!
