  8. Just a few basic facts first. I found out I was pregnant on 18/11/2007. I started work for my employer on 26/11/2007. I was signed off sick on 4/1/2008 and am still off sick now. I start my maternity leave on 11/05/2008 (29 weeks), baby is due 30/07/2008. I am not entitled to smp as I haven't worked long enough, which is fine as I get full maternity allowance due to also being self employed. i work from home for a large company. I had a phone call from HR last week and was told I am entitled to 5 weeks holiday and I can take it prior to my maternity leave (holiday entitlement hadn't even crossed my mind until the phone call). I emailed her later when I realised I didn't have 5 weeks before my maternity leave started and she replied stating that as I was signed off sick from 4/1/2008 then I had only accrued holiday from those 4 days (holidays Jan 1st-Dec 31st). I also got an email today saying that I don't accrue holidays while sick but I do while on maternity leave but I can't take them the next year or before I accrue them, so in effect will lose my entitlement from 11/05/2008, when I start my maternity leave. So basically, do I accrue holidays whilst sick? Do i accrue holidays while on mat leave? Are they allowed to refuse me the right to take my leave next year? I am sorry so many questions! Please ask me anymore questions if I haven't made any of this clear. Thankyou
  9. Hi, not sure if I should go the mis-sold route or the ppi not being paid back after paying off the loan very early? They did sell it to me by telling me I would get the full amount paid back to me after the 10 years of the loan if I kept it running for 10 years.
  10. We took out a loan through loans.co.uk/Paragon back in March 2004, the loan was for 14,700.00 and they added 2499 on at the start. The loan was for 10 years, but paid off fully in August 05, they refunded 311.50 credit protection at redemption. Can I try and claim back the 2187.00 that wasn't paid back at redemption as really I paid for 10 years cover only to use it for a year and 5 months. Also, can I claim back the interest that would've been charged? Do I claim from loans.co.uk or Paragon? I called Paragon on Thursday and they have sent me an account breakdown, I called loans.co.uk and they gave me paragon's details. Thankyou in advance.
  11. I never found any/many. I can't quite remember!! i will have a look later for you and see if i can spot anyfor you. Can I be cheeky and ask roughly how old you are? I know that the older you are the more old breaks can hurt. Mine still hurts if I do too much. Have you been offered physio? you could just be walking differenty to compensate for discomfort and now it's got this bad because of that?? I do go on, sorry!! i will have a nosey round the net!!
  12. Hi, I snapped my arm 4 years ago i a riding accident, I had a plate and 10 pins put in. I then had a car crash 9 weeks later, hurt my arm, xrays looked fine (I said there is a difference but i was told to shut up). I had my final appointment with consultant, he discharged me. I got on with life, got pregnant, married, moved house etc. When my daughter was 6 months old i went to Gp, it had got to the point where i had no control at all, switching a light switch on hurt, couldn't bath my daughter, and in labour there was more pain in my arm than elsewhere and she referred me to local hospital. Had an xray done and it looked like it hadn't fused so they referred me back to my consultant. Anyway, it turned out that inside the bone had died, one side had fused, pins were backing out (7 of them were unscrewing) and everytime i moved my arm the break was opening and closing and trapping the radial nerve too. So they had to take bone from my hip to place in my arm and replce the plate and pins with new ones. No problems anymore. I would also suggest looking at all your medical notes. I got mine for a compensation claim and my consultant had said (before he discharged me) that the car crash has caused damage but he hopes it will clear by itself!!!!!! I know no forums etc for you, i had the same trouble trying to research it all. Your pain could be scar tissue, nerve damage, dead bone(my consultant didn't notice this until the op) backing out screws or just not united. Have you compared xrays closely?? Any slight move can cause pain!! Good luck.
  13. To be honest (I didn't find out til husband got in from work), the ABS light hasn't come on since we had the new battery put in last week. It wasn't on during the test drive and husband didn't notice it at all til we got it home, the bloke at the garage mentioned it had come on but they had taken it to get it reset. I am going to take it to a vauxhall garage and ask them to check it over and give me a quote on any work that they think needs doing, then i will know what they think needs doing before I take it to the other garage on 8th may. The brakes seem fine, actually really sharp. The garage doesn't have a bad reputation, my dad worked in the same town and knows these people through his job, and my husband bought a car from them a few years ago too. So I went through word of mouth.
  14. I, personally would just let it go as nobody was harmed in any way and I should think that the staff member has been told off.
  15. good letter! i woud love to write one telling them how utterly crap they are!! We had major problems with them and i would tell anyone not to touch them with a long stick. The worst part was no barriers around the front of the house (an old terrace coming straight off the path) and a blind man walked right over the glass with his dog while they left piles of broken glas on the path!! Some sales people called round to our new house a few weeks ago and I told them to get lost as they are poop!
