  3. Hiya all I would be very careful with these phone calls advising us the receivers they will be willing to help us get our charges back, because they could be fishing only for your bank account details and could be about to cause you more financial loss with identity theft con. So please please do not give out your personal details - no bank personnel would ask you this information in this manner, they may need some information but would always give you a landline number for you check out with your bank incase its genuine. If it is 02 giving out your personal information like this then complain to them too, they may not be aware and could be personnel from outside companies that 02 have given permission to contact you to upgrade your phone, take care and be savvy with your personal information at all times, Bye for now Maz
  4. Hiya all Be very careful with this, it could be just 02 or a company they have given their customer details to to upgrade phones and services and in view of the charges to banks, it may even be a ploy for you to reveal your banking details to alert them to defraud you, if its a fraudulant call. May be 02 are not even aware someone is calling as if from them, and 02 ought to be able to track down the call to your mobile, like they do if you get obscene calls etc, So 02 may not even be involved, cannot see they would be legally and would be interested in this to investigate. I have orange and yet no one has rung me yet, take care its a mad world out there,
  5. Hme, i agree rippedoffagain, ref default,,,, banks are trying to tell all customers to wait for the 8 weeks, its a stall i tell you lol u are right. We must all stick to the deadlines here, and pretty much the banks timescales will move in line with us,,,, or its then the court date in the future and pretty much near the 8 weeks anyway, enjoy,,,,,maz
  6. Hiya all Its a dilemma ive been harbouring and worrying about until this morning myself, until......i spent nearly an hour with customer services for the fourth time in the past month to get them to answer my banking questions. Now, Im Mad!!! I emailed them with all my concerns and frustrations as now they have treated me exactly as a customer and not an employee, i will return back in force! LOL Ive complained by email, also still not had my statements! also gave them other information. As an employee im now embarrased that i work for a bank, I am going to ask for all my charges back, this way i may just get listened to, and look forward to any confrontation as the type of blood i have would help me conquer all. With all the security issues on here lately, i will reveal the bank i work for once ive been successful, dont want to reveal too much as it may even be a colleague that may handle my complaint - will soon see if get called into the office to explain myself. I will just reply rather explain in a court case and will only accept the Judges word if i am to have my charges back or not. I am looking forward to my day in court but as we all really know, its not going to happen is it? So will keep my personal info private for the time being. Will update you if any consequences occur to me though. Am no longer worried only just gone a bit crazy and determined to go the whole way with this now. Enough is enough, stand up and be counted if what my grandpa would say. God bless his soul, have a good evening, MAZ
  7. Hiya gone to the site and signed the e petition another name to the list i guess it makes this all worthwhile take care and have a fun eve
  8. Hiya all The Daily mail ran a piece today wed 31.01.07 about how the banks are stalling and it actually quoted this site and the which site too as helpful and full of info for us all. However,a good point i picked up was that the Banks are now saying we as consumers are not asking the correct questions and not asking for the correct information. So Please to all, ensure you are using the templates correctly and not just tweaking the letter for how you see fit, as the banks are going to reject or just send certain info as they can get away which then causes more time and delay. This is especially as some banks are trying to say that statements are not part of the Data act, but they are we must adhere the templates given to us on the site to help us not make silly mistakes that the banks can turn back to us without providing the correct information we need. Have a good day tomorrow to all Ciao MAZ
  9. Well i would be annoyed if mine were in that lot, what about data and identity theft, any dis honest person receiving such items could have sold these other peoples identity, i would have hoped someone would have sent me my info, wouldnt we have a case to take the bank to court for revealing our identity to unknown people that do not have the right to that information - what a newspaper article that would be, lol
  10. Sorry in my unsure way of doing things here forgot to say thanks and await your replies, many thanks maz
  11. hiya all I am trying to recover 350.00 charges from one account, virgin, part of rbs. I have complained to them by email and phone and now they have sent me a letter advising their terms and conditions, plus a line highlighted that my account performance will be given to the credit agencies. My question also to you guys is ,as given by all from advice from this site, i have already set up another bank account my ddi sta and saleries are in the new account, but i had asked one account to advise me of what their actual costs are for the charges not 29.00 each one to let me know my dd had failed. I even advised them on the phone i was happy to pay some payment but not the 29.00 on some days 3 times. I have a debit balance of 255.00 - do i pay this back to them as i feel under durress to do, to protect my credit file. Or do i persue the first letter for the 6 yrs statements and any manual intervention? Then write the next letter advising my request for refund of charges? By the way did any one read daily mail saturday last, a customer rbs went in with the bailiffs, and got his money back.
  12. Thanks bennyowen, i will take a long look at your step by step instruction after dinner, it seems daunting at the moment but more i read the threads etc, more im inspired. Have a fun evening thanks again Ciao MAZ
  13. Hiya all, ive just registered today. Im going to get around the site this evening and suss out as much as possible like it recommends. Then hopefully I can then understand correctly all the letters and information i need to request and processes i have to follow. Ive joined today as my request to Rbs - virgin one account to be given a cost information on how they arrive at 29.00 for each failed direct debit this past week, ive had 6 now as im in the process of changing banks to barclays via the switchover service. I did ask them to provide this information as its seems severe and i wanted to know how much it really cost them for their inconvenience of informing me! Their email advised me that they have passed on to their concerns team. Any advice wait on their responce of any possible refund or should i counter attack with my request of all previous charges too to be refunded? Any help would be great from anyone, next bank will be the Halifax, they were very dogmatic in their dealings with me when my husband lost his job and i feel i should try to get my bank charges back from them too. All in all, i feel inspired today and will navigate the site for a bit now and come back later this evening. Ciao for now MAZ
