  1. It isn't set yet, but the next thing is that we have a fortnight in which to submit the new defence and counterclaim, then they have a fortnight in which to file a reply and defence.
  2. Vry true. We still have a long way to go and a lot of work to do. It sure is a relief though to have come away today with an agreement to take things forward.
  3. We're back and feeling queitly satisfied. I can now reveal that Fred has now got an advocate who is acting as his pro bono McKenzie friend. I couldn't say anything before because nothing was certain, but he came along and represented Fred and was BRILLIANT. It's not over yet but it went very positively. We had arranged to meet with the LD barrister an hour before the meeting and at that meeting it was agreed that Fred would submit a new defence and counterclaim, which will be drafted by Fred's wonderful advocate, and the two applications which were to be heard today would be dropped in exchange. The Judge was very happy with this arrangement and gave all the vast pile of bundles back to both parties. It has been agreed that, now that Fred has expert assistance matters can progress to a speedy conclusion. (Speedy in court time still means 3 or 4 months ) It was great being able to hand over to someone who knows exactly what they're doing, but I don't imagine LD are too pleased. I'm just going to put the kettle on and come back shortlly as things come back to me. Thankyou so much for all your good wishes and support. Well done labrat, we're proud of you! (Sorry couldn't find an "open wide" smiley) that was the nearest.
  4. Hi everyone, thanks for all your good wishes. The Apps hearing is set for 11 am, so fingers crossed please one and all. Lets not forget to send labrat some good wishes too for his dentists visit. As soon as I can get online tomorrow I'll fill all the details in.
  5. Good luck, labrat. We'll be thinking of you. Check in as soon as you're feeling better and we can exchange stories.
  6. If any of you out there are looking for a new job. How about this one? College principal to retire Jobs at the college
  7. Hi everyone, and thanks Bedlington for supplying the update. Yep 9th February is the next hearing date. As soon as there's some info I can share I'll post it Happy New Year to everyone BTW:D HOPE YOU'RE ALL SURVIVING THE COLD!
  8. Hi Huff&Puff, welcome to the thread and well done for persevering. Looking forward to whatever you've got to say. The more the merrier.
  9. I echo that sentiment, Matty. I wish all at Lyons Davidson, and Plymouth College of Art a very merry Christmas.
  10. Christmas is nearly upon us so I want to wish everyone All the Best and everything you wish for yourselves. I'd love to buy you all a drink, but I'll have to content myself with raising a glass and toasting you all!! There's a lot of you so it might take me a while....... Thanks to Kristiewells for this pic:)
  11. I haven't heard from him for some time and just hope he's ok.
  12. Thank goodness we've got your brains on the case, Pebsham. Message received and understood. Now all we need to do is form an escape committee to break him out.8-)
  13. Remember not so long ago, LD wrote to Fred complaining because he'd written directly to the Principal of Plymouth College of Art? Well the latest letter from them has done a U turn and they're urging him to contact the College directly for the information he wants
  14. They've taken over the same phone number. Does that count? We'll go along and investigate whether they're in the same premises hopefully tomorrow.
  15. Thankyou sully. I've discovered today what Universal Security's new name is and it wasn't difficult, as they're using the same phone number as before. Wait for it, their new name is ........Universal Fire and Security Ltd.
  16. We've got a meeting next week to discuss the investigation so maybe we'll get a better idea about it all then. One things for sure, I can't imagine the Noel of those on the receiving end of the investigation will be all that Joyeux ;-)
  17. Thanks, Martin. I hope all is going well for you too and that you can have a truly relaxing Christmas.
  18. Welcome AlanR. I see this is your first post. Well done for the marathon read and thankyou for your good wishes. You're sooooo right about all the wonderful help we've had with this case. What has been revealed on the thread is not the whole story of all the help we've had either. In fact there are unsung heroes in the background too who are being an enormous help. Yes, TLD does deserve a very special mention. I don't know what has happened to him, but I very much hope all is well with him and that maybe one day he'll be back. I'm very grateful to everyone who's taken the time to read and comment on this thread and for all the many of you who've come up with some really excellent ideas and support.:D You're all stars, thankyou:D;)
  19. Hi everyone, sorry I haven't been around much for a while. I've had a touch of flu or something and to be honest there hasn't been a lot to report. The Police investigation is ongoing and no news there. One small snippet I've just learned though is that Universal Security (remember them?) who went into voluntary liquidation mysteriously in July, are now trading again under a different name.
  20. Thankyou for the help. ;)You know who you are! I hope to be able to shed light on this little mystery before too long. Sorry everyone, I really don't like being mysterious, but I think you'll understand why all the secrecy when all is revealed.
  21. There's been a curious development in connection with the CCTV, which is too delicate to post at the moment, but I do need to speak to someone if they have knowledge of CCTV and or video production. If anyone out there has experience in that sort of area, could they pm me please and I'll explain?
  22. If he's been kidnapped, then the appearance on 19th October may have been an impostor, because he hasn't posted since September.
  23. An order has now arrived from the court following the applications hearing last week. This is what it says:- Upon hearing counsel for the claimant and the defendant in person, it is ordered by consent, that 1a) The hearing listed for 17th November 2009, be vacated. 1b) The defendant is permitted to rely on the amended defence and counterclaim filed on 6th August 2009. 2) The defendant's application relating to striking out and the police caution to be listed on the first open date, after 6 weeks, namely on 9th February 2010 at 11am. So there we are, another delay.
  24. Good idea, Caledfwlch. We haven't done an SAR yet. They did have a crime reference number which they gave to their insurers at the time and that was presumably why the insurance company paid out. The police have already said that even if there was a caution on record, they would now be satisfied that it should be expunged.
