  1. Matter resolved unable to post settlement, tomlin Order Thank you to Andy and BankFodder for your help, your doing a great job..to help the people who have no recourse to any other help...….This Forum is a lifeline for justice even though in the end it may not be given in this crazy greedy world, Cursed are those who take money and put people through injustice and greed for their own gain. DO NOT PAY ANY ONE WITH A BACS TRANSFER IF A VENUE CANCELS - THEY HAVE BREACHED THE LAW UNDER THE CONSUMER RIGHTS ACT 2015 GET INSURANCE TO COVER LEGAL EVENTUALITIES IN YOUR HOUSE INSURANCE ALWAYS DONT LET THEM BULLY YOU INTO TAKING MONEY WITHOUT PROOF OF WHAT THEY SPENT IN YOUR ARRANGEMENTS LASTLY PLEASE - DONT DEAL WITH COMPANIES LIKE THIS, THE TRUE TEST OF CUSTOMER SERVICE IS IN THE AFTERCARE, WE RECEIVED NOTHING BUT GRIEF AND PAIN...…

  2. Yes Andy has been a great help, but BankFodder assisted with the 3rd party rights etc, in any event I thank everyone who assisted and the Site team. Yes The GodMother, I am happy with the outcome so is My daughter especially considering we will never be using this venue and can spend our money at a decent place with good service. This venue has no regard for couples or their clients - even to the point they wanted us to remove all reference to this matter from the Forum, but were told only the settlement could not be posted - hence it was private. If the Venue was a good one they would have not put us through this - in the end we will never use such clowns and we have informed all our relatives too, we have just advised all our relatives who were considering this venue to look elsewhere!! DONT GIVE YOUR MONEY TO VENUES WHO HAVE NOT ASSISTED OTHERS IN THE COVID DIFFICULTIES - THIS IS ONE OF THEM BE WARNED !!

  3. A further Virgin reply in the mail(undated) with an update to my complaint.I've quoted verbatim-fans of literacy should brace themselves now! Our findings: 'We've understand that you requested for a call recording and spoke to one of the executive about it and was adviced that not all of the of the call is recorded and all of the data that we are obliged to send has been sent already. We offered compensation to provide resolution of £50.00 GBP.I see you have declined the offer as you already spoke to the executive team and was provided a much higher compensation. But we do not see any compensations which was offered from 50.00GBP. If you has any query or for any more information please call us on the below number to discuss in detail or follow the link for any help... Resolution:feedback given' It also noted that 'if we don't hear back from you after 28 days,we'll assume you agree with the result and close your complaint'.

  4. Thanks for all this. Try to get the terminology right, otherwise you'll just harm your case. In your letter to the Marriott Hotel you repeatedly call this ticket a fine. It isn't. A private company hasn't got the power to fine you. It's an invoice. Bailiffs can only become involved if you are taken to court, lose a court case and then defy the court and still don't pay. There are no bailiffs involved. DCBL can act as bailiffs and write this in their letter heading to con you. Stop contacting DCBL. Even if they were sympathetic - which they aren't - they have no power to do anything as this is not their debt. You need to get back on to Marriott, but at CEO level liam.brown@marriott.com Send a version of your letter, most of which is OK, but - for goodness sake don't call the charges "fines" - don't accuse Marriott of making money, because the charges go to PE - remove references to DCBL who an irrelevant uninterested third party.

  5. Try to claim attendance allowance, while waiting for the PIP appeals process to be completed ? https://www.ageuk.org.uk/information-advice/money-legal/benefits-entitlements/attendance-allowance/ I would suggest contacting a disability rights charity to see if there is any local help. They help with these appeals and have a good success rate. Challenging a DWP decision | Disability charity Scope UK WWW.SCOPE.ORG.UK Find out how to appeal a decision about your claim for Personal Independence Payment (PIP) or other benefits.

  7. OK, good news the address issue is covered. I was just worried you could get court papers and not know about it, not defend, and therefore lose by default. Yes, you could get judgement set aside and yes it would clearly be ECP's fault, but it would be hassle you didn't need. Yes, it would rile us if you paid However, it really makes no sense to give in now. The time to give in was when ECP wanted 2 x £60. The fleecers will now not accept anything less than 2 x £160. Court costs would be £100 (£50 legal costs if ECP could make this part stick) plus £25 claim fee + £25 hearing fee.

  8. Thanks Andyorch. I did read the link that you posted, but I will read and digest again! My hearing is not until 5th August, so I have a few weeks to sort out my witness statement.

  9. Thanks, let's hope so. Not just for me but for anyone else who gets harassed and threatened with court action for an entry error. Everyone's input and advice on this thread has been really appreciated and it has given me the confidence to fight this all the way should it come to a civil court action, albeit unlikely.

  10. Have you not read the link I posted above ?.....very in depth about responding to this type of application. You don't submit an N244 to respond to an application for SJ.Simply submit a witness statement in response to their statement with your objections and reasons why their application should be dismissed. This must be submitted not less than 7 days application hearing date. Andy

  11. The UK A previously first rate nation for all its faults, with a world beating NHS and an unequalled international reputation and standing built by unmatched diplomats and civil servants at the behest of mainly competent politicians of many parties Now that first class NHS being trashed and taxpayers being bled dry by 5th rate autocrat politicians and their money grabbing cronies and the UK's unequalled international standing, power and reputation, built in a changing world over centuries, utterly trashed in just a few years by those same 5th rate politicians and their 10th rate stooges shunted into diplomatic positions.

  12. The other thing I'm not clear on is whether the UK has messed up on vaccine ordering. Or is it nationalistic reliance on A/Z?

  13. Gary Lineker's advice to England fans, from Twitter. 'If you’re lucky enough to get a ticket for the final, please, please don’t boo the Italian anthem. A/ It’s an absolute belter and worth listening to. B/ It’s bloody rude, disrespectful and utterly classless.'
