  1. Totally agree. Your local college should be able to advise. There are many different areas to specialise in, but website and mobile stuff is definitely up and coming, I've been in IT 25 years, so shout if you want any specific advise. Jez

  2. what are they on about? never hearsd of that kind of arrangement before don't even think they are allowed to do that. it might be prudent to get an SAR off to them. lets get all the account statements and their logs too. then we can construct a case. its certainly not correct that any creditors holds off from defaulting and account for several years after the event. though the ICO have recently changed their guidelines concerning this type of thing happening. dx

  3. This is pretty clear cut and the dealer, because he is a dealer if he sells multiple cars, is responsible. If you didn't send a letter recorded delivery then I would send one last letter headed 'Letter before action' outlining what the issue is and what you want doing about it and giving say 14 days to make it right. If he ignores this then sue in the small claims court. The guys here on the forum can help you issue a claim so you don't need a solicitor or anything like that. I would get something from an independent garage in writing on headed paper saying what the fault is. You may have to pay for this but put it in your claim to be recovered. Can you get that text printed? It would look good for your case. This guy on ebay is a fool if he thinks what he said will save him.

  4. They get the government top up payments on the electric made and any units unused and sold to grid are theirs too you get the electric, which if you use a bit during the day may be wortwhile but most people use it on a night and when its dark. Solar doesnt work in the dark and is rubbish in bad light despite their claims, It can be a viable option but without the government subsidy per unit solar is rubbish IMO It can cause damage to your roof and looks ugly and in winter i have seen units struggle to get up to 2 units of energy. Summer is obvoiuosly better but if your not going to be in because your at work or you go away a lot in a caravan for example the only thing you will really be saving is having your fridge running All the excess power generated and subsidy will go to a shade greener for there cost and using your roof from an EX Solar Surveyor
