  1. A very common scenario is that people wishing to send a parcel to someone else use a parcel broker/price comparison service to identify a suitable courier company – rather than go directly to the courier company. This means that when you make a contract to send a parcel, your contract is with the parcel broker and not with the parcel delivery company. This happens especially with people who send parcels because of eBay sales. Typical scenarios are: Through eBay, you make a contract with Packlink who recommend a number of couriers and you select one, typically Yodel or EVRi. Through the Internet, you make a contract with Parcel2G

  4. OK, this is good news. Let's see if they reply to the CPR. If they don't, around the time you file your defence, you can SAR them to get to the bottom of what in their diseased minds they think you did wrong.

  6. Congratulations and thank you for letting us know. The next piece of advice would have been to send a letter of claim and sue them. Your chances of success would have been much better than 95%. However, I'm very pleased that DFS have stepped up to the mark. Please do come back and confirm that it all went smoothly. DFS haven't got a very good reputation on this forum – but maybe they have got somebody there who is now starting to take control of their customer-facing operation. Well done

  7. Well, I am happy to report I have just had the head honcho on the phone, they are collecting the sofa tomorrow and refunding all our payments over the last 20 months including our deposit, and cancelling the finance asap. Not charging me usage and no charge to collect the sofa. My 18 month nightmare is over, and I did it without going to court. I cant believe I took on DFS and won, all on my ownsome. Sorry nobody got chance to advise, thank you though

  8. Highly unlikely unless you were pulled over or received a parking ticket from an official body such as Police, Local Authority, does not include silly Private Parking Company invoices.

  9. No, what you got was fine. Once you have received the proof of posting in the App, it acts in the same way as a proof of posting or stamped certificate of posting received in a Post Office branch or a Royal Mail Customer Service Point. https://personal.help.royalmail.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/367/related/1/session/L2F2LzEvdGltZS8xNjkxMDYxMjQ1L2dlbi8xNjkxMDYxMjQ1L3NpZC9mVUhkVTM1MUhYMldWZUF6V3NWaGxhRTBocXlkT2FuYjhPMElBQm14TE1xVWJsd3owNlFZYkJfa0xLMkpJMWNYWWxfNnMzSTdkNnVvcnIwTjRnV3IyRm1VZ2VIUGQ1ckJQQm1hUjZGOE5LUVVXWGpuelBRS3hLekElMjElMjE%3D

  11. I presume you read the thread Dave mentioned in his last post? Well, that's what you do for redress. We are self help here... Aw... go on then... Dave's mini breakdown from the thread mentioned... The steps to take would be easy enough. 1. Letter of Claim which is nigh-on prepared on the Virgin link. 2. Start a claim through MCOL, where you are already registered, with a short paragraph as Particulars of Claim and forking out £25 which you will get back if you win. 3. At that point they will either ignore the court papers and lose by default after a fortnight or run to the parking association's solicitor and desperat

  12. Submit a complaint to Go Skippy as advised above. That is your next step. Because Go Skippy would have to pay a fee to the FOS, if you continued the complaint to the FOS, you may find that Go Skippy will reduce or remove the cancellation fee.

If he then rings, wife should not open the door, and should call police on 999, stating: a) you won a county court case, b) have advised him you don't want to meet in person, c) told him not to attend your property, d) left a note on the door, e) he has rung despite that, and she is concerned for her safety / that there is a breach of the peace.

  14. They cannot transfer the charge from the driver to the keeper as their PCN does not comply with the Act. The Protection of Freedoms Act 2012 is quite clear that if the PCN does not comply with the Act then only the driver is liable to pay the charge. As any motorist with a valid motor insurance policy can drive your car Alliance will have a hard job identifying the driver unless you appeal and reveal who was driving. Should this case end up in court, Judges do not accept that the keeper and the driver are the same person.. The main reasons why the PCN is not compliant is that they have not asked the keeper to pay the charge a

  16. Thanks for letting us have all this information straight away - we wish everyone would do that! Well done with CPR. dx100uk will be on shortly with details of how to acknowledge service of the claim. Once that is all done we can concentrate on building up evidence against them. Yes,. please post up the appeal letter, which will be important for several reasons, including if you outed yourself as the driver. .

  17. That's amazing news! - well done From the point of view of the forum, your case will become very important. The vast majority of motorists who come here just want to get out of paying the fleecers' invoice, which is fair enough, and when we explain a claim for breach of GDPR or for distress through ignoring a SAR can be brought, no-one will do it ... ... except you! We didn't have a private parking SAR claim to point you to, only the Virgin one, but from now on anyone in a similar position will be directed to your thread. I'm amazed that NCP were sensible and coughed up. That was definitely
