hi, this is the first time i have posted on here and sorry i'm well new to all this. I really hope somebody out there can help and give me quality advice as i dont know who or what to believe at the moment. Anyway the story is at the minute ive got a debt of 26k to 6 creditors.

I worked out my outgoings/incomings and got advised to go down the CCCS route at the end of december when i knew i was getting in deeper debt. CCCS accepted my payments (of which ive made three of now @ £150pm ) and three of the creditors accepted what i had offered. The other three (who i'd never missed a payment to,yeh i know it makes no difference) MBNA, MINT & Halifax ,however declined and have since bombarded with all the letters, phone calls etc, while still adding the interest on. Two have today sent a default notice out.

The cccs have advised me not to worry if it goes to court as iwill be able to show that is all i can afford. Ive heard about asking the creditors for a CREDIT CARD AGREEMENT? would this or anything else help?

Can anybody advise if i am to take any other steps at the moment please. all replies greatly appreciated.

ps, i currently have a joint mortgage ( should i come off it? ), just thought i'd put that bit in as am a bit worried over house.

  • 2 years later...

Hi,

I'm currently thinking about using a firm called Redress to look into clearing

some of my debt off.

I'm currently on a dmp , which ive been on for over 2years now.

Redress have advised me that because my cards are before 07 i would more than likely be able to wipe some of the debt off.

I hope someone has experience of Redress, many thanks .
