Hi All,

can someone please help!! I Got a letter from this company yesterday asking me to contact Rob Sanderson for a debt of 125.00. I cannot recall a debt for this amount at all. I am very sceptical! In addition I only moved house in Oct 06 after residing at my previous property for over 10 years. It says that the debt has been sold to them from a company called 'Aquired Debt Ltd' for which again i do not recall any dealings. When I was younger around 98/00 I had a few probs but nothing since and I was sure everything is clear. Checked my credit file and it is clean. Should I call them..?

Help :-)

No do not call Mackenzie Hall, they are not to be telephoned under any circumstances, unless you wish to be verbally abused and shouted at from them.

If as you say the debt is as old as it is, then it is clearly statute barred and unenforceable, Mac Hall are well known for chasing these kinds of debts as they are basically worthless, so it costs next to nowt for them to buy them.

Personally, I would keep the letter in a safe place but do not reply to it, no matter how tempting.

Do not confirm anything with them either in writing or on the phone.

If they keep giving you hassle, come back here for more advice
