Hi folks

New to the site, this being my first post :)

I have received what looks to be a "trace letter" of sorts from a company called EOS Solutions. The letter claims they are attempting to contact me regarding a "personal matter" after carrying out trace activity provided by the credit bureaus.

I do have a few debts, a failed business venture saw to that, so it could very well be a legitimate claim. My concern is that I have never heard of these people before and nowhere in the letter does it say who they are chasing for. I do have 3 repayment plans in place but none of them are with this company.

Can anyone recommend a course of action or provide guidance/advice?

I appreciate your time and any advice you good people can provide

Thank you.

Hi thanks for the quick reply.

I've got 3 main debts:

Halifax personal credit card £3000 - repayment arrangement

LloydsTSB business overdraft £6500 - repayment arrangement

LloydsTSB personal credit card £3500 - repayment arrangement

When my business venture went south I relied heavily on my overdraft and personal credit cards.

I have recently moved and

I have a Southern Electric bill of £500+- that I have a repayment arrangement in place with.

Looking through my recent emails I have found one from Southern Water saying I owe them £92.96.

I wonder if this might be the account that was handed over?

as long as you are only paying the original creditors

then those arrangements are fine.

even if you do owe SE

deal with them

ignore EOS

they have no powers.

Thanks again for the prompt reply dx100uk.

You said "as long as you are only paying the original creditors

then those arrangements are fine." - could you elaborate on this further please?

The reason I ask is because two of the above arrangements have been made with Wescot credit services, not the banks themselves, as I was informed the account was handed over to them.

Just looked at my credit report. Looks like my Halifax account has been handed over to a Marlin financial services, at least that is the name listed on the credit report now.

LloydsTSB handed my business account over to Wescot but that isn't shown on my credit report.

Marlins have never been in touch. In fact I didn't even know I was paying them until I saw the credit report today.

I am currently paying each £25 a month after completing an "in / out" questionnaire they sent me.

Thank you for the suggestion about starting two separate threads. I will do that later when I get home.
