I havent got the account numbers for it but have supplied our names dates of birth previous addresses plus a SAR using the template (Thank you ) Will they fob me off unless I have the account number?

They shouldn't, the information you are giving them should be enough for them to find everything they have on you.

If so, when was the last payment?

 

I would imagine that as a mortgage is secured, the Statue limit would be 12 years from the last payment.

 

Make sure to send the SAR and then report back.

Yes the mortage was paid off when the property was sold. The last payment would have been sometime in1998.

RBS phoned me while I working away

 

admitting I had paid PPI and would write to me.

 

Had a letter back from RBS today saying they were returning the £10 fee for the SAR

as this was free for PPI enquiries and they are going to send it over to their PPI dept.

 

Can I trust these to be honest about how much they owe me or should i resend the request.

Update..

 

Still no SAR but a letter from the PPI dept saying they cant deal with me because they don't know who I am

(they do they phoned me as I stated earlier in the thread).

 

I wouldn't mind but I never spoke to them it was passed by another internal dept who have admitted PPI is on my records

but unfortunately this was over the phone(no more phone calls,letters only)

 

They have asked for a utility bill etc etc before they can proceed with my request so Ive sent that out to them.

 

Then got another letter stating they want exact credit card numbers, mortgage numbers dates blah blah blah

 

Is their a procedure that will stop this nonsense?

Just going through mail and they have returned SAR chque to my missus, seriously annoying.

As DX predicted this has turned out to be a nightmare dealing with this slippery lot,

in context to explain this has been the course of action over the last 130 days::

 

THEM

1) Cant find me on the system

2) by letter informed me no PPI owed send more details

4) We owe you small amount of PPI

6) Cannot find me on records no PPI owed

10) four further letters saying no PPI owed, we cannot send SAR until we can verify whom you are

 

I saw a great template on here demanding all personal data relating to PPI payments on any and all accounts but i cant find it,

does anyone know where that template will be stored?

 

Im reluctant to accept their offer until checking the SAR but i desperately need the money to pay against a CCJ

Ive been waiting since October to sort out this matter and have found four different cases of PPI at this time,

one has been paid,

one has an offer from them,

one I have flatly refused and

one they have refused.

 

 

I have copied the letter below explaining their reluctance to pay on this particular issue

and would appreciate any advice on whether I can go back to them with a response.
