I'm going on a train journey on Saturday morning and trying to save money bought a redspottedhanky voucher on amazon which gave me £16 towards a train journey for £8.

I've just tried to book and hadn't realised that the voucher is meant to take 72 hours before you can use it. That is about 5 hours AFTER I'm due to travel. :-(

I phoned RSH and they said they can't do anything to make it available sooner and it's rare for them to be available sooner.

Does anyone have any experience of this company and if there's any likelihood of it being available sooner?

Hmm. Well I can't say that they were rude when I phoned but then neither could they do anything to help. They just suggested that I keep checking my account to see if it became available sooner. Said I can obv use it at a later date, but it needs using by the end of June and I had no plans to go anywhere by train before that. Very annoying.

To be fair it did mention 72 hours for it to be redeemed and I should have picked up on that sooner. I saw it but it didn't sink in.

In this day and age of technology I really can't see why it shouldn't be available within seconds. Should have stuck to trainline! :-(

I use quidco and get money back but TBH I usually try all the sites and find they're all the same price 9 times out of 10.
