Forget talking to them over the phone, keep everything in writing and obtain ''proof of posting'' which is free from the PO counter.

As for the unsolicited door step beggars, tell them to jog on or you will call the police and have them arrested for trespass, then shut the door, they have absolutely no legal powers whatsoever, your postman has more powers to be on your property than these chancers do.

How old is this? When did you take the agreement out?

How did you offer the token payments? Over the phone? Forget it, you need to put your offer in writing so you can start a paper trail of evidence.

And as it is a non priority debt you call the shots, only offer what is realistic and comfortable for you, NOT them.

They also need to stop interest and charges, any charges they have added already, including interest accrued on those charges need to be reclaimed, if they won't play ball, then your offer of payment drops to the token amount of £1 a month.

Who ever heard of someone getting a job at the Jobcentre? The unemployed are sent there as penance for their sins, not to help them find work!

Hi thanks for your reply

i did offer over the phone and by letter but like a said not heard from them after sending letter and

did offer 15.00 per month over phone but they where rude and told me get stuffed

i have just open the letter from the door collector

and really shocked the amount now is over 460.00

so i assume its all interest added on,

how do i claim or state to them to remove all the interest charges

forget robbersway

send them a CCA request

send JDW an SAR to get all the statements too.

NEVER EVER PAY A DOORSTEPPER OR ANY DCA OVER THE PHONE

they ARE NOT BAILIIFS

AND HAVE NO SUCH LEGAL POWERS

have you checked your credit file to see if this debt has been sold?

dx

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Typical immature response from one of their telephone jockeys shame you didn't record it, OFT would have loved that!

This is why you never ring DCA's, they wouldn't commit that comment in writing, hence why no-one ever deals with them, deal direct with the OC.

If you believe you are being treated unfairly then I would suggest in the first instance you send a Formal Complaint to Robinson way, if they do not deal with the situation correctly then you can escalate to the Financial Ombudsman.

Are Robinson way the new owner of the debt.. have they purchased it - or are they simply collecting on behalf of Premier Man ?
