Hi,

I think your friend is right. For £40 a month, I would be using the gym daily. If you are not going to use it that often, is £480 a year (based on a 12 month contract) going to suit you?

If you do decide to go that route, get everything in writing and read everything fully before you sign. For example, what does a contract say if you incur an injury or you move house?

Have you looked at council gyms? Most of them have all you need and a lot do Pay as you go.

If you are asked to deal with any matter via private message, PLEASE report it.

Everything I say is opinion only. If you are unsure on any comment made, you should see a qualified solicitor

Hi Ant,

This is not the sort of post we usually see here. Folk normally post about problems with gym cancellations.

However, experience here over the years suggests that you should be able to join a gym for a minimum 12 month agreement from around £19pm.

Obviously, check out the various gyms to see how they look in terms of equipment condition and availability. Also, make sure you compare the m/ship costs for the times you can use the gym.

And make sure you read the agreement T&C's first before signing, so you know what's in there. Avoid any agreement that requires more than a month's notice to cancel (after the first year is over).

:-)

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...
