Got my First Direct DPA response today, i'm not joking there must be at least 5000 A4 sheets contained and it must have cost about £30 in postage !

I've just spent 3 hours sifting through it all, most of its no use whatsoever, handbooks how to use their internal systems and that kind of thing.

I did find an internal fax cover sheet with subject "Bank Action Group" !

There are also references to this website within my notes, i.e. customer sent in letter from bank action group website, already advised we will not be refunding charges, no further response required to customer.

How very strange - have you mentioned BAG to the bank? If not, then I would get offended that the bank thinks me incapable of writing my own letters...and making an assumption that I am part of a campaign, rather than an irate customer who wants to claim back what is lawfully his...

Yes, that account is the only one i've had correspondance with them about. Not for long though, i've spent tonight sifting through it all and found another £1,000 plus interest.

So you can add the other grand on before you settle, as they're not defending the court action? Great news. I suppose theres another 8% on those aswell.

I've written to them today to ask for the interest on the initial claim, i'm assuming they will agree.

If so i'll phone them and ask them if they would like to include these further issues, if not i'll accept settlement of the first claim then issue a second for the other accounts. If they want to be foolish about it they can cop for another court fee.
