Hi all

First time poster

Ended up in a huge mess - trying to face up to my responsibilities.

Am repaying a CCJ I didn't know was out there - too late to seek redress or dispute it. All my available money spare is going towards that.

There are a few other old credit card debts that an ex-partner racked up in both our names which have just come to light, and also a payday loan or two which I foolishly took out to try and clear other old debts off. I know...............!!! I tried to just sort out immediately but have ended up getting into further trouble,

So. These other debts have come forward now - and I have been told that I do not have to pay these while I have a CCJ in place with all my spare cash allocated to that and I have no spare funds devoted to these. Is this true?

Thanks in advance!

Hi

With regard to the old credit card debts, are there any unlawful charges and/or PPI on them which you could reclaim?

Who is cashing these old debts....a DCA or the original creditor?

When you say "old" debts, how old are we talking and when would the last payments have been made?

Do they feature on your credit file?

If you can give ore details on them then we will be better placed to help you.

In addition to ims' questions, if you're unaware that you had this CCJ, then of course you can still redress it, unless of course you knowingly moved to avoid it?

If you cannot afford the repayments to the CCJ, then you are at liberty to have the order varied.

Yes a CCJ will take priority over all other 'unsecured debts'.

Who ever heard of someone getting a job at the Jobcentre? The unemployed are sent there as penance for their sins, not to help them find work!
