Cougar ignoring OFT rules doorstep visit

Section 3.12 deals with visits.

 

Whilst they appear to have watered down their previous guidance, Cougar have put their own interpretation on what has actually been said by the OFT.

 

The fact is, you have made an offer of payment - they are not prepared to accept this. How will them visiting you change that position. Therefore contrary to their statement.. the account is in dispute !

While its watered down the fact still remains without an appointment they can't just turn up correct?

If you don't have all your statements, you need to send Subject Access request - they have 40 calendar days and it will cost you £10.00.

Meanwhile, you could send a CCA request - request for copy of the agreement - to cougar - it will cost you £1.00 and they have 12 working days + 2 for posting.

I had this with scotcall.....I complained to OFT. Scotcall still said they were entitled to visit....but they didn't, they sent it back to lowell who have now brought debt managers into it, who have sent emails twice a week, left messages on phone etc etc....having said at the start "letter only" I am ignoring them.
