I have had a car on finance via Welcome for the last 4yrs.

For the majority of that time I have been in default,

and I know from checking previously that the car was listed on HPI as having outstanding finance.

imagine my surprise when I had an HPI check carried out last week,

that the car is no longer showing as having outstanding finance,

and is 100% clear on HPI,

despite not having made a payment to Welcome for a very long time.

In fact, I have heard nothing from Welcome in well over 3yrs regarding the car,

almost as if it has been forgotten about (doubtful),

but now its been removed from the register,

it seems something must have happened somewhere along the lines.

Just thought I'd mention it,

maybe other people are/were in the same situation as me,

I had a car I could do nothing with, as no one would touch it with finance showing as outstanding,

and I was unable to dispose of the car,

(at all times Welcome were made aware of the vehicles location, should they wish to repossess, which never happened),

it almost seemed like they didnt care.

  • 4 months later...

Having today checked my credit report, there is no mention of any Welcome debt, no defaults, nothing. So the car was taken off the HPI register, and now the debt has disappeared as well, not that I'm complaining, but what are they up to?

Having read many threads on here regarding this outfit, I would be very conscious of anything coming back and biting your rear.

I am dealing with welscum things for my partner and have made it a priority to get her to check her CRA report each month until things are sorted.

Don't bury your head but enjoy the free reign you have at the moment, the stinking animals don't sleep until their teeth are in you.

it will mean they have sold the debt

and as such, the HP is to them concluded

as for the CRA file

it'll be back under the buyers name pretty soon.

once some fleecer gets ahold of it

prob be MKRR or MKDP

nasty bunch

threads on CAG too

dx

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...
