broken yellow lines

Hi I parked on double yellow lines on a cul de sac 70% of the yellow lines are missing i know its doubles yellows but because its broken are they still valid

Did you get a ticket? Take a photo and send it to them, appeal it and say the lines where not visible..... Fight them at their own game....

If so, was it issued by or on behalf of a Council, the Police or other Local Authority?

 

 

If not ignore it but give us more details.

A pic of the yellow lines would help too. It depends on the state of the lines - it's not the case that any break renders them unenforceable. Some would be, some would not.

The lines have to be non existant for you to do what you are thinking. If they are faded, or there are any signs of them left, then you are out of luck.

That's not absolutely true. If they are badly faded, they might be judged unenforceable. They don't have to be literally invisible. Anyway, in this case it is a missing section which is the issue.
