My friend runs a small limited company selling vehicles.

A former employee has a personal debt that has gone to court. The person he owes the debt to had no personal address for him so used the business address on all correspondence.

My friend has found out that a CCJ has been made for the personal debt listed with the employees name and listed below, the company name and address.

The employee no longer works for the company and we have no accurate address as it appears he used an old address when working for the company.

Is this going to effect the credit reference of the Company? and can anything be done to remove the company name and address from the CCJ?

How long ago was the CCJ. Was there no documents relating to the claim sent to the company address. If the CCJ is in the employee's name and not the business name then it shouldn't affect the credit rating of the company. But know doubt you could possibly get visits by debt collectors, which could cause possible complications/stress.You need to find out which court sanctioned the CCJ and then have it setaside.
