it seems ive made a mistake on my particulars of claim form on the money claim form

heres what i put

The claimant claims interestunder section 69 of the county courts act 1984at the rate of 8% a year from 29th september 2003 to 30th march 2006 1656 pounds and also interest at the same rate up to the date of judgement or earlier payment at a daily rate of 0.36%

 

it doesnt say on the form that i need to put an total amount of interest claimed which would be 173.67 pounds

but when i spoke to customer help desk she said that even though i'd put that i want to claim the interest i wont get it because i didnt put the amount

she saidthe only way would be to amend the claim which would cost an additional 35 pounds(non returnable) and would have to be bounced backwards and forwards between me the court and the defendant by post before starting the claim again.

what would your advice be
