PS: The case where Link's history of harassment caused them to lose a Court case, was Keith Harrison vs. Link Financial Limited - this link is to the Solicitors for Mr Harrison: http://www.watsonssolicitors.co.uk/harrison.html and this link is to the judgment http://www.bailii.org/ew/cases/EWHC/Mercantile/2011/B3.html

Wrong I’m afraid – Link did not lose the case because of the harassment. That simply formed part of the judge’s comments. They lost because they could not produce a properly executed agreement. The link you have posted makes that perfectly clear.

Being harassed does not make debt go away.

Heads up!

Looks like Link Financial Outsourcing Limited are off loading many stat. barred debts to the BCW Group (Gothia and Red Castle Recoveries are part of the same group)

Link Financial Limited passed these accounts to Link Financial Outsourcing Limited who clearly could not collect on same.

Thus the accounts have or, are being transferred to the Agent (BCW) who will be taking over management of these accounts.

Yet another Selina Burdell strategy, no doubt...

If STINK couldn't collect, how on earth will BCW be able to!?

An update FWIW:

Link eventually responded to the request for the CCA - several years late - by sending me the MBNA agreement for somebody else! I have reported this to the ICO, who are taking it seriously and have asked me for a copy of it so they can consider action against Link.

I also reported them to the OFT, who have noted the complaint and will consider complaints when renewing the licences of both Link companies.

Excellent. This is happening too many times over many different banks/DCAs and it has previously been ignored.

Hi

Good the ICO office is taking notice but don't hold your breath about the OFT. They must have had hundreds of complaints about stink and yet they still carry on trading. Same with trading standards when i complained about stink they couldn't find any previous complaints about the company....same for lots of others. Hopefully the ICO will hammer them!

Greetings.

Am I to understand that Link are now using another company, Link Outsourcing instead of the old company to collect debts? If this is the case, should the new company inform us that they now own the debt, not the original Link Financial Ltd. Who, exactly do we owe moneys to? I get the impression that they are trying all sorts of devious tricks. I have just received a letter from Link Outsourcing stating that "ignoring this notice will not make this debt go away" :mad2: . I think that if everyone wrote to their MP and tried to get a bill passed stopping debts from being passed or sold on companies like Link would soon have their wings clipped.
