Hi,

Recieved a call today at work and left us a little confused.

Recently we've been getting a lot of calls for different name both to my mobile and home number. I spoke to one company and there were 15 different applications in my name but different dates of birth (right month right year - wrong day)

I checked our credit file and there was nothing on there as of 2 weeks ago.

Today spoke to a guy from poundstillpayday.co.uk (got a email in the end) He stated that there was a loan in my name that hadn't been paid, I said I knew nothing about this he said well it's been paid into a NatWest bank account, and gave me one of our email adresses.

I asked him to confirm it in writing cause I shouldn't take phone calls at work he said he wouldn't be able to do so as they don't have my address. - How can they have so say given me a loan but have no address!!!!

The number they called on at work hasn't been out main work number for about 5 years it's used just for the credit card machine. They don't have my mobile number or landline only this number.

The loan was completed over the internet no paper work what so ever apparently.

I have requested bank statments to show that no money has been paid into our bank accouts as they can't show where the money went. It all seems a little bit too vauge for my liking. and I've told them I will get back to them within 21 days.

Any suggestions here ?

I'm sure you'll want more info but well confused.

This is naturally very concerning they are either phishing or else something sinister.

Either way it looks as though theres a database somewhere which is responsible for you getting all these calls.

Very odd... perhaps you should go and double check your statements to see if anything was deposited on the dates they claim.

If not then you have nothing to fear... send the firm a copy with a firm "F Off" letter... if you have received the funds then obviously something more serious is underhand if you did not take out the PDL.
