Amex CC Company passing my account to RMA dca

I have asked for a payment agreement with AMEX and after going through my PBS they have said that they will pass it to DMA on a 'Regain' agreement.

 

Should I do this or will I be in an even worse position?

Who are DMA? Are they a debt collection agency?

I think they must be - I may have the initials wrong. I will check.

 

Amex seemed to be being really nice & helpful and it was only after the conversation that I realised that they intend to pass it on to another company. I had thought all along that they were talking about a different department within Amex.

What's the current situation with your account? Have amex sent you a default notice? Have you requested a copy of your agreement?

RMA are the worst, rude, ignorant, tell lies and ignore your letters. If Amex are being nice be very suspicious.

That the niceness will not continue or that they may not have a valid CCA? Or something else?

Most Amex agreements are not enforceable. They may be trying to get you to sign a new repayment agreement and that most certainly will be enforceable.

Have you requested a copy of your credit agreement?.
