Hello all,

I hope some of you can help me. My husband and I lived in Dubai back in 2006 and my husband had a bank account and credit card with ABN AMRO, we left the same year having not paid back hubby's debts (I know very naughty) and have now 3 years later received a letter from Royal Bank of Scotland who have taken over ABN saying they want the money back. I'm not sure where my husband stands as this is international debt and what laws would cover us. It says in the letter that they will contact solicitors if we don't pay them in 14 days. The amount is £11,000! it was no way near that much in 2006 thay have added interest and charges etc. I'm tempted to call them and say that the person does not live at the address. Please help!
