Hi,

Does anyone know the best way for claiming back charges quickly from Natwest. I know that the fsa has told banks to put claims on hold but am facing financial difficulties and have heard that if financial hardship can be proved, banks must pay out.

I have gone through my last 6 years of charges, through my statements got my template letter done, thanks to http://www.moneysavingexpert.com and am ready to have my funds reclaimed!

Also i know that you can not claim usual overdraft charges but what exactly is a usual overdraft chrge. My overdraft started off at £500 4 years ago and 2 years ago it went up to £1000. I have noticed that everymonth when my overdraft limit was £500 i would be charged £6 for the facility and every month when the limit was £1000 i would be charged £12 for the facility.

Can i claim these charges back too even if i have not used the facility?

Please help me need my £££££ back!::confused:

Hi Charlie and welcome to the Consumer Action Group!!!

In the first instance it is a great idea to read some of the ‘Won’ threads in your own banks forum here:-

http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/natwest-bank/

Take your time to read these, and save them to your favourites, they will be of great service to you as you progress with your claim:-

http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/faqs-please-read-these/31460-example-step-step-instructions.html

If at any time you are having problems navigating your way around the forums you can always refer to this section by Bookworm: -

There is also a excellent A to Z guide thanks to Michael Browne here:-

Good look with your claim, not that you need it now you have found C.A.G, and I am sure others with more exprence than me with Natwest will be along soon.

Does anyone know the best way for claiming back charges quickly from NatWest.

Hi, Charlie.

Don't think there is a quick way, we're all in the same boat.

The only advice I can give is, as Lex say's start your own thread in the Natwest Forum and keep it updated, lets people with experience in dealing with Natwest help you out.

Have you tried phoning the Bank and asking for your charges back.:o I know it's a long shot, but nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Best wishes with your claim.

Regards.

Scott.

Any advice I give is honest and in good faith.:)

If in doubt, you should seek the opinion of a Qualified Professional.

Hi charlie and welcome to CAG

Unfortunatly there is no quick way of getting charges back if there was I think that the majority of claimants on here would of done it most of us are in limbo waiting for the desision of the judge in the OFT case.

The best advice I can give is to get your claim started and if you can afford it as far as issuing the N1 claim at your local court (you may be exampt from court fee's if your on benefits) This way any charges close to 6yrs old are protected :)

Hope that helps
