Hi, I am posting this on a few of the Shop Direct posts as I have been working on 3 claims on behalf of a relative and want everybody who has been charged by them to reclaim their charges and all applicable interest as these are possibly the most arrogant of all the companies I have dealt with and will firstly refuse your requests and then as it goes on breach the court procedures and ignore the judges requests until they ultimately settle as of they have no defence and no desire to go in front of a judge. The final outcome on the claims is posted below as the e-mail sent to me for my relative. Shop Direct have still not paid the sums stated in the e-mails in full and have part paid so still looking to court. Hi i'm new to this site but hoping someone can help me out. About 2 years ago i got an account with Very in my mothers name also had an account with Additions which theyve now changed over to very too. I was paying both Catalouges (and still am) but recently i've missed a few payments due to being sick and having to claim ESA and now the payments have gone sky high as well as charges thrown on top and each catalouge is asking for over £51 (for 3 months as a kind gesture apparently..) and over £50 on the other which i just can't afford and unfourtnatly as its in my mums name she is getting all the backlash from it It makes me feel so awful because shes retired and they are ringing constantly from 8am-9pm monday-friday at least 10 times a day which my mother ignores but its driving her mad I told them the situation and they said basically as its in my mums name its her debt. I tried to get some legal help but the lady told me as my adviser and the debt not being in my name her legal advice would be to not pay it. Which i obviously am not going to do to my mum. I tried offering them a lower monthly ammount but they refused it and only agreed to £51 a month for 3 months which is now up and the payments are over £100 again The interest is so high on items that it feels like its never going to go down. Its left me and my mum on edge and is causing a rift and i don't know what to do I'm sorry about the long thread but i wanted to make it as clear as possible.
