  1. Once again we are being spoonfed that unemployment is falling, meaning that those who are unwilling or unable to think for themselves gain a picture that is in fact totally alien to the reality. How do we combat this? First off it helps if we can analyse the statistics so we can flip them back to reality. *What Statistics would be a more accurate measure of EMPLOYMENT *What counts as "Unemployed" *Differences between "Claiment Count" and "Unemployment Figures" *What other statistics are not mentioned that hide the real picture. EG Number of changes in ESA, DLA/PIP claiments *Changes in the number of HB Claiments vs Employment figures. *Numbers of zero hour contracts, Self employed When we know what figures create the whole picture, we can then seek to get those figures. With the bigger picture you can then challenge (Or possibly confirm) taglines like "Our economy is getting better as unemployment is down" Consider this a thread about getting the tools to form your argument
  2. Interesting FOI response concerning UJ-related sanction figures on whatdotheyknow site; https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/207398/response/542365/attach/3/FOI%202014%201877%20WDTK%20Response.pdf Note how many referrals are either not upheld, held in reserve or simply cancelled. Always worth appealing any sanction and fighting it.
  3. https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/289342/tribunal-stats-oct-dec-2013.pdf For those of you who are interested! Quite sad to see a 79% drop in claims compared to 2012, and it certainly makes for interesting statistical reading. In summary, there are only now around 1,700 claims issued per month - down from 5,000 per month.
  4. Hi Latest Individual Voluntary Arrangement Outcome Statistics from the Insolvency Service Website http://www.insolvencydirect.bis.gov.uk/otherinformation/statistics/IVAs/ivas.htm Last post from me for 2013 and on a familiar subject too, no surprises there I suppose as nothing ever really changes some might say! Cheers to everyone on here and lets see what the New Year brings:) W
