  1. My company (me) have been summoned to court for not suppling information to a speeding offence. I was unaware of the offence as i moved house 4 weeks prior to the offence and all the paperwork was sent to my old address. I didn't know anything about it until served with the notice by a police officer 6 months later. Can they do me for not suppling information to the offence if i can prove i didn't receive anything?
  2. I was caught doing 60 in a 50 in March 2013 and offered a speed awareness course. I completed and returned all the forms accepting to do the course, rather than take penalty points. I then heard nothing more and received no acknowledgment or further info, and rather forgot about it, just assuming there was a long waiting time/back log on the course. On 19 August I receive a court summons for speeding. I called the relevant police department and was told it was my fault for not checking that my speed awareness application had been received and accepted. A letter was apparently sent to me early April telling me i wasn't eligible for the course (even though i'd initially been offered it) and was due 3 points. I NEVER received this. Had i received it I would have responded and just swallowed the points. Feel totally gutted that I'm about to face far higher fine and stress of court having done nothing but cooperate. Any advise out there?
  3. Zapped by GATSO in 40mph zone when Road Angel read 40mph. My Road Angel device recognised the GATSO in the distance and gave me plenty of time to adjust to exactly 40mph yet the camera flashed and now I've got a summons accusing me of travelling at 48mph. The 2 photos showed my car at intervals on the road which can only be correct if a) I was travelling at 48mph which I wasn't, or b) the 2 GATSO flashes were just micro-seconds out. I've appealed this and got a date for a court hearing. I was wondering if anyone has appealed and won on similar grounds.
