  1. Philips,Kettle,HD4644 Having used this kettle for a couple of years I noticed water underneath it, thinking I had just been careless when filling I did nothing until it happened a few more times, upon inspection it became obvious the seal was faulty around the kettle base. Then I found out that Philips were aware of this fault but chose not to recall or offer a modification. As by then the kettle was just out of guarantee, I wrote to Philips and in two replies was politely told to get lost. The wording was "its out of guarantee so buy a new kettle", as if I would buy a new Philips kettle, or anything else made by Philips in future. They seem to have no interest in the quality of their product, or the satisfaction of their customers. As this fault could have caused an electric shock, I did not consider this reaction acceptable.
