  1. Hi, Really hoping someone can help. I am trying to claim PPI back from my 2 Egg Loans & 1 Egg Credit Card, however having a nightmare trying to get hold of Egg seeing as they are no more. Unfortunately I do not know my account details any more and this is also why I wanted to contact them. However I am not getting anywhere seeing as no one seems to take charge of Egg Loans and Barclaycard have said that my Egg Credit Card wasn't passed to them. Any ideas of where I can go from here? ANy advice would be greatfully appreciated. Thanks Steve
  2. Hey everyone, first of all, apologies if i am reapeating what has already been posted on here, but im new and its hard to pick out the relevant imformation sometimes, so im posting from my point of view in hopes it will be clearer for me! Here goes...... I took out a loan with welcome finance around 5 years ago for £1000. I paid them regularly each month, then i borrowed another £500 and continued to pay regularly. Around 3 years ago i asked for the payments to be reduced as i was having some financial problems which they agreed to. After 6 months or so they started calling me over and over and sending letters saying they needed to discuss my account, as they wanted me to increase the payments, i ignored them, but continued to pay, and i also changed my phone number (for other reasons) and did not give them my new one. Then i continued to get a few letters every few months or so which i ignored, this went on for years untill i moved house around 3 months ago. Last month after a series of mishaps, i had to cancel all my dirct debits including theirs. I have since recieved a letter from them at my new adress (How do they know where i live?) asking me to call. I cant deal with talking to theses kind of people on the phone so i thought i would send a letter asking them to contact me only by post and i would set up the direct debit back to how it was. Before i even had a chance too send it the worst thing happened today. At work someone told me that someone called jenny had called for me, by my full name, they had been calling over and over for 10 mins. When i rang the number back (from withheld lndline) it was answered 'Welcome Finance'. I hung up right away. I find it disgusting and a bit scary that they know where i work even though i have just worked there for 2 months! How dare they! Surely thats not allowed?! I saw the complaint letter template and was going to send it but then i worried that this would be comfirmation for them of my address and work address, as it seems clear to me that they have been looking hard for me, even though i have missed 2 payments of just £73 each! What shoould i do? Also, i read that anyone with PPI with them should claim it back as if something did happen, the comapny is in such bad financial position that they wouldnt be able to pay it. I took out PPI with them. should i contact them about it or is it a secondry company? I knwo this is a LONG question but im at my wits end, so thanks in advance for any advice.
  3. Hi I am a new user to this forum and this is the first time I am posting in a forum. I need some help with a PPI claim that I made recently. I will start from the begging. Around 9 months ago I was contacted by a reclaims co. about PPI claim back. After a conversation on the phone with them, I received a few forms which I filled out and sent off about my mortgage and claim. After a hellish 4 months with these people, I finally asked them that I no longer wanted to use them to claim back PPI as they were lying to me and not helping me enough. One of there employees understood this and said he would call me back in 5 minutes. A further 4 months later I had received no reply from them. I thus decided to use a different company, . I explained to them that I had already filled out a few forms with a different company but they had not contacted me in 8 months. They told me I do not need to worry and that they would handle my claim from now on. A week ago I received a letter from my bank telling me they had agreed to give me back my money after my complaint. I told .... about this and after verifying I was receiving the correct amount, they told me to accept the offer. They sent me an invoice for thire fees and told me I would not have to pay the invoice until I received my cheque from the bank. Then out of the blue I received a letter from the first co telling me they had been successful in claiming back my PPI. I received this letter today. They also stated they would send me an invoice for there fees. This totally caught me off guard and I am very upset and confused. Since it is Saturday today, I cannot get a hold of any of the two companies and I am worried that I will have to pay two companies. This will leaved me pretty much nothing from the claim. So I need your help. Do I have to pay both companies. I only received my claim after I started using the 2nd co. so I am happy paying them for their services. I do not want to pay th 1st co as they have done nothing to help me and I believe they are trying to screw me over. Looking forward to your help and thanks for taking the time for reading this post.
