  1. Latest figues show net migration running at 332,000. The question is where these people are going ? This is about the size of a middlish regional cities population being added every year. Given the shortage of housing, i wonder where they are living. By 2025 the population of the UK may exceed 70 million. That will require about 4 million new homes to be built by then. The answer may be to build mobile home sites, which can be set up quickly and potentially offer flexible affordable accommodation to people. This would be a better option than building too many expensive permanent homes, when some migrants may well return to their countries of origin.
