  1. I purchased the following vehicle from Arnold Clark, Nissan, Perth. Nissan X-Trail Diesel Station Wagon When fitting a new tow bar, the engineer at my local garage identified the following :- • The vehicle had previously been fitted with a tow bar....the tow bar socket was in a plastic bag taped to the underside of the vehicle and the left and right tow bar anchors were still in situ. • When this tow bar was removed the original integral cross member was not re installed. • This left the rear of the vehicle without support and in an unsafe, unprotected condition in the event of a rear shunt /collision. I am concerned that this vehicle was not properly checked prior to sale and was released to me in an unsafe condition. Can I report them to Trading Standards, who may take action against them?
