  1. Hi REGARDING SECTION 8 OF THE BUDGETING LOAN FORM there is some confusion regarding what is needed to be filled in if you are filling it on behalf of someone? can anyone help? it states:- have you filled in this form for someone else? NO (go to part 9) YES please tell us about yourself Please tell us why you are filling in and signing this form for someone else TICK BOX I am sending a letter by the claimant with this form, the letter tells you that they agree to me making the claim for them NOW SIGN THIS FORM IN PART 9 TICKBOX i am their appointee TICKBOX i have power of attorney TICK BOXES FOR NAME ADDRESS AND DATE OF BIRTH The form is made out like the above. My point is that according to the form if i tick the box 'I am sending a letter by the claimant.....' it tells me to go straight to part 9? if i go to part 9 then i assume i DONT tick '-+++I am their appointee' OR i have power of attorney' ? and therefore i DONT put my name or address or date of birth? I'm assuming you only do this if you are either appointee or power of attorney (as i am neither anyway?) i actually DONT want to give my details anyway as i am just helping a friend. finally to confuse matters further on page 9 it states sign here if you are claimant or appointee. Can SOMEONE confirm i DONT have to put my name or address. I just have to provide the letter signed by the person claiming?
  2. Back in 2008 I entered into a DMP with PayPlan, at that time I had 5 creditors, 2 of which were MBNA. I have now repaid in full all of my creditors. During this time MBNA passed my 2 accounts to Moorcroft Debt Recovery, no defaults were issued and as far as I can recall I did not receive any notice of assignment. After passing to Moorcroft payments continued to be paid by Payplan. Soon afterwards 2 DMP flags appeared on my credit file, in addition the balance was being updated on a monthly balance, showing a reducing balance. I understand that these DMP flags will remain for 6 years from last payment. What I am trying to find out is are Moorcroft allowed to update my credit file if they are not the original creditor? Or if it has not been assigned to them. I thought only licenced credit agencys could update your files. Bottom line is I would like to find a way to remove the DMP flag and I thought if MBNA passed the debt to Moorcroft and debt is now settled I could request the removal of the DMP flag as it was only applied after Moorcroft took over the debt and who are not allowed to update the CRA as not licenced. I hope it makes sense. Thanks in advance for any advice.
  3. Hello All Please can someone provide some urgent advice. I am just about to apply for a mortgage and a mistake made by Volkswagen is affecting my credit score dramatically Around 3 months ago I purchased a new car with Volkswagen and used Volkswagen Financial Service to finance the vehicle After the first payment 18th I called to change the date of payment to 29th which was my payday. The following month the payment was taken on the correct day 29th April. Unfortunately the customer service advisor made a mistake and only changed the date for one month, VW subsequently took the payment again on the 18th May. I called to complain and had the money reversed. The customer service advisor said that they would collect again on the 29th of May. I checked my bank account on Monday to discover payment had not been taken. I immediately paid over the phone and raised an issue that is being dealt with by a helpful advisor. VW accept that it is their fault. Unfortunately the advisor is not in the correct department and is back and forth with the CR team about it. This last payment has now shown on my credit report as a late payment. My credit rating has dropped from Excellent to Fair I need to get this resolved in the next 48hrs as I have just had an offer accepted on a house and after getting an instant approval in principal I am really scared to apply incase I cause a massive spiral of rejection. Kind Regards Nicholas
  4. My girlfriends car suddenly started to shake and loose speed on the A12, so she pulled into a lay by and used the SOS phone. The person on the phone advised them all (Her, her disabled mother and niece) to get out of the car and wait on the bank for Green Flag to come out. Green flag said they would take an hour, but after an hour, she called them back and they said they would be another hour. After that hour, she called back again and was told that they are still looking for someone who can come out. It wasn't until two and a half hours did someone actually come out. Bearing in mind this was during very hot weather, and they had a young child with them. I know green flag tend to refund £10 if they are more than an hour late, but surely two and a half hours should be at least a couple of months free?? She has sent a letter off to complain, nothing back yet. Is this worth pursuing?
