Hi there, My husband works for an international company and paid in US dollars. However, the HMRC class him as self-employed. I carry out bookkeeping for him monthly with end of month reconciliation as well as annual returns with other specific tasks on his behalf. However, this work load will increase as of May 2015, hence charging him. My question is.... Can I invoice him for monthly duties carried out. I plan to go self employed doing exactly this once I have completed my Honours Degree in May, therefore, it would be far easier for myself to also go self-employed rather than being classed as an employee (seen other responses but always focuses on limited or sole traders). Can I do this as I am his wife, if not he will have to pay the accountant to do this as I suspect I will be too busy with my own clients. Thanks in advance

My partner's Brighthouse. 2 accounts, totalling £6.37. Missed a week's payment. Charges of £11. That comes under the description of unfair charges as it exceeds the amount of payment missed. Manager utterly refused to remove despite the fact I've had previous charges removed for saying they're unfair (and before anyone says, SAME store). But then again this is the same store that had a manager signed OSC removal form and never removed it....

Hi question guys, I've been claiming housing benefit since last year, all has been normal up until recently. JSA basically had my wrong address on their system for ages now Leeds council have suspended my claim asking for statements from the last year (when I moved in basically). They seem to think I've been committing benefit fraud because jsa screwed up. Now I'm worried having to supply such a LARGE volume of statements. To make it clear I have not been working or earning anything. However.... I have had income coming into my account, not regularly but very occasionally I had a large sum of money I borrowed off my mom to pay a friend back (£2000). Purely the money that came in was from a family member and any money that was outgoing (Aside from bills) was too the friend that I owed. Then there were something like 3-4 payments of £50 from my mum helping me out because I was very low on money (life saver). now what will Leeds council say when they see this? I'm worried they will try and say I've received an income and cut my housing benefit / order me to pay some back when genuinely none of that money has gone into my own pocket only in and out. If that happens I am totally screwed. My account is literally almost empty now because I haven't received payments while my claim has been suspended. So what is classed as income?

HI, Just a quick question really - I hve a loan with Welcome, it has 2 lots of Lifecare 24 Migrated charges on it for £180 each - making £360. It has been added into the loan at a cost of £6.59 per month over a 180 month duration making a total payment of £1186.20 ( possibly plus any monthly interest ? ) and to top it off from what i can see from the paperwork it was only valid for the first five years of the loan. Is this classed as a PPI charge and can it be claimed back ? Thanks, Scort

Is it classed as fraud if a LL gives you multiple what he classes as 'receipts for work carried out', expecting me to pay for them. Then when I do a little digging, the companies on those receipts tell me they are just estimates and the work was never carried out? I have a total £713 worth of 'estimates' which I have proof haven't been done.
