  1. I emailed quick quid several weeks ago regarding my outstanding PDL and they have agreed to a repayment that is suitable for me- I gave them my bank details and debit card details at least twice (I have an account for this purpose)they keep stating that they will continue collection procedures as I have not agreed to a payment plan or given my repayment details!!!!! I have corresponded via email over 10 times, made a formal complaint and reported them to the OFT as they fail to acknowledge my acceptance of the plan. I am sick and tired of emailing them- they don't read my emails. I am getting bombarded by texts, letters and emails despite me asking them several times to correspond by email- I am viewing this as harrassment. I have evidence of all emails sent and received- it amounts to 9 pages in word document. I have now received a letter this morning with a default notice!!!!!! I am livid- I have tried to pay them this so called agreed repayment plan for over 1 month now and am at my wits end. What can I do as I feel I have exhausted all possibilities!!! Any help greatly appreciated. (I've also posted this in QQ thread)

  3. I took out a quick quid loan in 2010 for £200 which i defaulted on after 2 rollovers. Which i forgot about after losing my home, breaking up with my partner then finding out i was pregnant all within 3 months so the loan was the last thing on my mind. In march last year carter forbes contacted me (harrassed with calls and texts every hour) and offered me a reduced payment plan for the loan which at that time was over £500. I agreed the repayment plan at £80 pm and i stupidly gave them my bank details to make the first payment. A week later was pay day so as you do i went to get my money to find it had all gone. Bank was useless in sorting this out told me to wait for it to show on my account. I then logged on to my email to find carter forbes claiming i defaulted on my payment plan not sure why since my next payment wasnt due for 3 weeks. 4 days later my account showed carter forbes had taken £5 untill my account was empty i phoned them and they claimed since i defaulted it was their right to take my money that way. I got very angry at that point as i was unable to pay my rent or feed my 3 children so they agreed to settle my account since i owed £567 and they took £800 i demanded my money back but wouldnt give it to me. Eventually i gave up lessoned learned no more payday loans and NEVER give debit card details to dca. I thought that was the end of it but now quick quid emailed my last month saying i havent paid the loan back and passed it to motormile finance. I emailed them stating that i paid it through carter forbes but they say they have no record of this. What can i do as i have no proof since i delt with carter forbes over the phone?
  4. Hi guys i have just cleared some debt off the past month and am now debt free but vodafone, o2, t mobile etc are declining me credit and im guessing it was related to this debt i have paid up. I have paid my Virgin Media bills every month on time if not before the pay date and keep getting mithered to take out a deal in my virgin media account i want a samsung galaxy s3 on virgin but bit worried they might also decline me
  5. Hi, Recently joined, so please go easy on me. I received an email from MMF recently, so called them. They claimed I owed a payday loan debt and they now have the rights to the debt. Having recently just cleared my credit file of all defaults, I was anxious about them reporting another default, so being naive I paid them £100 to stop them reporting to the CRA's. However, having done a little digging since, I am sure the debt was statute barred. Does anyone know where I now stand, and what my next course of action should be. If it makes any difference, I live in Scotland, where our debt laws are a little different from the rest of the UK. Thanks in advance for your help
  6. Please please help me quick quid closed my account and are telling me i no longer owe the money that is due to be paid tomorrow (£129) to be precise!! I've rang and spoke on live support to tell them i want to pay the money but they keep telling me i do not owe them anything? I'm worried this will come back on me please help!!!?
  7. Hi, Something that has been bugging me since claiming back my PPI. At first my bank completely refused my claim-back for PPI on a loan I had with them a few years ago. I then got in touch with the FOS took on my case but advised that it may take up to a year to complete. Now, my G/F has enquired about claiming PPI with one of these 'PPI reclaiming' companies (who take a small fee if your claim is successful). They advised her it may take up to three weeks to complete(!) Why would it take the FOS a YEAR to get some sort of conclusion on my case when one of these 'fly-by-night' companies can do it in 3 WEEKS? Also, I had to complete all kinds of time consuming questionaires and forms for my claim, my G/F has to send one text message(!) and everything is getting done for her! Frustrated isn't the word! Regards, Chris.
  8. Hello, first post, just loving this forum. It has answered so many questions and removed many fears already but...... I have been on a DMP since 2003 with 11 creditors and £53k of unsecured debt. I was with the CCCS until Nov 06 when they got a bit upset that a joint account with an overdraft wasn't on the plan. I went self-admin as until then I had had no bother with any of my creditors. One of my loans was with Northern Rock who passed it on to First Credit a year or so ago. When with the CCCS they were fine now FC are hassling me saying I need to pay £140 pm against my offer of £26 pm. They are threatening me with allsorts of legal rubbish and having read several posts on here am not overly bothered. They are ringing everyday saying the same rubbish which is getting annoying. So from what I have read I should send a CCA request but I have read that this needs to be an executed one although the templates on other threads don't mention this? Do I need the word executed in the letter? Also can you just send a £1 coin or does it have to be a PO or cheque? I have also read that you can request a deed of assignment but not sure if I should be asking for it or how to ask for it? Assuming that they don't reply within 12 days then I believe I can stop paying them? What will happen then? Do they take me to court? I would really like to give them some grief but am unsure how to proceed. Any help greatfully received
  9. I should know this but the deeper I read the more unsure I am which to use. Under which section of the CCA should I request an agreement with the £1 postal order. I know not to sign it but print my name but I read somewhere if you make request under the wrong section the company have a way out Can anyone advise please Thank you
  10. Hi, I just have a quick question about the Wonga Repayment Plan. I'm in my second month and on Monday they'll take the second installment out of my account. Now my question is: If I manage to get some money to either pay the installment a bit earlier or pay the remaining balance off, can I just go to their website and pay it off like that and would I need to let them know I did? I send them an e-mail about this but they haven't replied yet and I don't want to call unless I have no other choice. If I can do that, that would be wonderfull cuz then I'll be debt free quicker! Thanks for the help in advance

  12. Been renting a property for about 5yrs, never had an increase in the rent. Replaced fridge at our own expense with LL permission (They didnt want the hassle) got oven repaired at own expense wasnt worth the hassle of getting LL to pay but now the dishwasher has gone kaputt. Agents sent a guy out cant be repaired so need a new one, and this is something we are not prepared to replace and then take with us if we move, so insisting that LL replaces. In view of this wouldnt be a shock if we get a rent increase but i was just wondering if there is a percentage that it would normally go up by? Dont actually mind an increase as quite happy where we are and we can afford one but at the same time dont want to end up paying more than is reasonable. To be fair we dont have any real problems with LL who although they have a few houses we also know socially and although they go through an agent with the house we do speak to them directly when we want to do somthing to the gardens etc just to check they are ok. House is unfurnished, but fitted kitchen, I would expect an increase of no more than 20% if in fact we do get one but i like to be prepared. Thank You
  13. Hi everyone, I've been a member on here for a while but haven't really posted anything. I just wanted to say that you guys do a great job and are really supportive. It really helps to know that you are not alone.
  14. Helloo people, So my aunty had atos assessment today she was really not well but forced her to go there for assessment. She required an interpreter to translate throughout the assessment. She walked few steps, confused as hell, became quite tearful and made her comfortable in the room. The person who assessed seemed very caring and sympathetic till the end. she asked about few simple question and asked to go home in about 15 minutes total assessment. Now Question is why was it so quick? Is that something to worry about?? :|
  15. Finally I'm admitting that I cant keep paying back each month only to borrow again the next to replace the money I need for bills. I sent both companys and email saying I am not in a position to pay the full amount outstanding and wish to set up payment plans. I've read a bit on various websites that looks like I'm going to be in for a lot of hassle. Can anyone advise what to do now and tell me what to expect? They are both due to be paid this Friday so what should I be doing to cancel them?. I'm starting to panic now expecting to be hassled at my work which I can get in a lot of trouble for etc. Any advice would be much appreciated!
  16. Hi Guys I need a question answering can the original company you have a debt with and the DCA dealing with it can they both default your credit file for the same debt? Thanks guys

  18. It's the old Hippy again with just a quick question. If like myself me and ex have a joint liability i.e. we had a secured loan which is now become unsecured and the creditor goes for a CCJ do they do it on an individual case or Jointly, ???? or would they go after the one they think they can get the most out of. I am not really worried about it as I have my BR money ready if needed. I have seen off most of my creditors from the naughty 90s who could not supply any CCAs but I know in a few months time the lovely people at Barclays First Plus will come wanting there cash Hi to all my friends on here, life is good, health good and really enjoying not worrying about anything but life.... Letting go of house was a life changer, difficult at first but hey family grown up take the good memories with me. Nice rented detached and never been happier. Mainly thanks to you guy's on here. Hippy:smile::smile:
  19. F I L is looking at claiming back PPI and i just want someone to check this letter is OK ---------------------- I am currently looking at reclaiming PPI on the Credit cards, Loans and if there was any on my morgage. At the time of taking out these agreements the insurance would have been unnecessary as I was covered for injury/illness through a workplace scheme and feel that this insurance was therefore miss-sold to me. As i am also a type 1 insulin dependent diabetic the insurance was also miss-sold as i would not have been able to claim off it. Therefore I would like all the details on any of the above that I have held with you, I have only just been made aware through the news about the possibility of reclaiming these so the back limit of 6 years does not apply. Please provide all details of any Payment protection I have made on my various accounts, if you feel these records have been destroyed from age then I would like proof of destruction from your registered data controller, I am aware that you will need to hold this under the civil evidence act (1995). However I would like to point out that I am happy with my accounts and would like to continue banking with yourselves and may consider a percentage offer of whatever I have paid in previously. I look forward to your reply ----------- he also had a loan with purple loans that had PPI on it but has no details for these if anyone can give details that would be great
  20. Hi Have just purchased some furniture through harveys and took finance out through Ikano finance. I have my copy of the credit agreement and have signed twice, once for customer declaration and consent and the other that i agree to purchase the goods on credit. Underneath that there is a signature and date box for on and behalf of Ikano financial services limited. This is blank and has no signature or date in it. I was wondering should this be signed and dated to make this a legally binding agreement? Im sure someone will have signed the copy that was left at the store but if my copy has nothing on it signed by the creditor is this agreement enforceable?
  21. Hi, I have posted before about my problems with payday loans and I still don't feel like I'm getting anywhere! Each one of the payday companies i owe money to, knows that I am on Jobseekers Allowance and only get £56.25 a week. I have even faxed proof of this to a couple of the companies who have asked for it. I keep trying to come up with a repayment plan for each one but they're all coming back with £100, £80 a month which clearly I can't afford! Speedcredit started off at £100, I said I couldnt afford it, they lowered it to £80 which I again said I couldnt afford, they then lowered it to £50 and said thats as far as they will go. How can I possibly afford to pay that when I have other things to pay off and that is a weeks money for me! My question is can I say anything to them to make them lower it even more? I really can't afford to pay that when I don't work! Thank you!
  22. Hi guys, been battling my payday loans and im down to my final loan which is with QuickQuid. I took out £450 and the total repayable is £583. I opted for the two part loan where i pay the interest of £133 on the 1/11/12 (TOMORROW) and then the full £583 on the 29/11/12 This then somehow changed for the second instalment to the 15/11/12 which is only 2 weeks! Which wont be my payday! Is there a way i can avoid paying the £133 tomorrow as it seems like i'm literally throwing this money away! What will happen if i default this payment tomorrow. I could possibly pay them the £533 in one instead tomorrow but cant really afford to.. I will then have nothing left and wont have travel money, rent etc Whats the best way to go about paying only the £583. If i default tommorow and ask for a repayment plan? Thanks
  23. hi i stupidly took out a loan with quick quid im due them 325 im just wondering what length of time do they do repayment plans over ive read they dont do long term plans anybody had any experience with this? thanks
  24. I have a quick question and wondered if anyone can help. If a debt collection agency writes a letter to you, do they need to have some form of proof of delivery in order to demonstrate to a judge that the letter was delivered? I can see a situation where a firm cannot prove delivery of correspondence and therefore could be judged to have not communicated in an appropriate manner before a final demand. This is all theoretical - I don't actually have any debts.
  25. Say a company has a returns period of 30 days and will collect an item at their own expense. However they charge a 25% restocking fee. If something is returned after the first seven working days, but within the 30 days, are they allowed to charge the restocking fee? Thanks
