  1. :sad:Hi guys i owe littlewoods and very around 10 ,000 i can't afford this im only on jobseekers it is now passed onto lowell portfolio please help im desperate
  2. Hi Firstly I apologise for my ranting and lengthy post I recently discovered that my Mum has had a littlewoods account for years and pays every 28 days by direct debit, without EVER checking her statements. Surprise surprise, she discovered PPI payments in her Littlewoods statement. March's statement included £90.00 for ppi alone. She can't recall ever discussing ppi or signing any documents regarding ppi in relation to any account she has. She also claims that she has never been sent any documents regarding ppi. When she called Littlewoods to question the ppi the adviser offered to remove the ppi and return the previous 3 months payments. She declined and requested they send her a ppi claim form which she completed and returned. Littlewoods response was along the lines of, Account opened in 1985. In 1998 she agreed on a call with littlewoods to add level 1 ppi to her account and that they can assure her that on the call she was advised all benefits, terms and conditions, cnx rights, additional payment information. They boldly continue by then claiming that" they can assure her that she was advised that ppi was not necessary and that she had traded for the last 12 years without it." They then claim that they called her in March 2005 to make her aware that she had 'been trading for the last 8 years with only the basic level 1care 500 on her account, and she agreed to upgrade to the level 2 extra care 500 while on the call. Again they promise that she was advised all the relevant information while on the call. They then admittedly advise that in October 2005 Littlewoods upgraded her insurance to the advantage plus more expensive more in depth cover? and that all documents and Opt out info were definitely posted to her. I can not believe they admit to upgrading her level of cover which increased in price without her consent. Their letter concludes that she was not miss sold ppi and will not be receiving any refund. They also state in her letter that she can complain to the FOS but they will not be able to provide any help as 'the account was opened pre 2004 and before this time they were not a member of a dispute resolution service then. I wrote to them last week including £1.00 postal order and yet have not received cca request. I also requested copies of the relevant telephone calls and or a transcript. I also questioned why she never received any documents and surely their admission to the oct 2005 upgrade to a new policy without her consent is surely an admission of miss selling and queried why after 20 years of 'trading' without any missed payments they felt the need to increase her cover. I also felt that their advise regarding the FOS appeared to say, complain if you like but there's no point, we clearly only acknowledge disputes etc because we now have a governing body and we have to. The fact that shes been with them for 27 years and has an excessive credit allowance of £20,000.00 (shes nowhere near that) doesn't matter. Fuming now as I received their response, No they don't have any calls recorded, call logs or transcripts, they can not provide any proof of postage, she was definitely never miss sold anything and if she wants any more advise send them a £1.00 payment to receive her credit agreement. Their decision is final and she will not be receiving any refunds. I can not believe their cheek in requesting that she sends a £1.00 to cover the cost of receiving a copy of her agreement which shes sure she never signed anyway. HELP ME PLEASE........
  3. had been looking at my mums statements for this company (ndr) and ive came across service charges each month for either a "debt collection phonecall" or "late minimum payment fee" sometimes both im guessing these are bogus and she could claim them back? she has a payment set up each month that is paid on time so im lost at where the late minumum payment fee is coming from. both of these charges are £12 each
  4. I have been a customer of Littlewoods for about 18 years and had accrued commission through purchases made over this time which totalled about £371. I had been saving for a flat and finally logged in to my account to spend this money on goods for my flat and noticed my total had gone to £00.00. I contacted them and they told me that since I hadn't ordered from their last season, I lose any rewards earned. As stated, I have been with them for 18 years and this had never been the case before and I never received any notification from them to say that this was changing. I have emailed them and all I get in reply is that I should read their terms and conditions, however I don't know when these terms and conditions changed. Can they do this without informing you?
  5. I ordered a few dresses from Littlewoods on 14 day FREE home approval. Within that 14 days I sent most of the items back. I then received a statement where instead of charging me less than £10 a month as I had been paying, they took an extra £89 from me. I contacted them asking why they had taken this amount when the items were on FREE 14 day home approval. They admitted fault and refunded me the overpayment. I had to chase the cheque. A few days later I received two envelopes from them. One was the long awaited cheque for £89 and the other was a letter from their arrears department for underpayment of £89! I was fuming. I sent them an e-mail (yes it was polite but firm and to the point) asking them to sort it out. They said they would get back to me within 3 days. That was 2 days ago. Today I had an automated voice message from Littlewoods saying that I was in arrears and needed to do something about it immediately. In my e-mail I told them I would be closing the account and that I would move over to one of their competitors. I then accessed the Kays catalogue company (or whatever it's new name is) and applied for an account and they refused to give me a credit account! Now I know that I have a first class credit rating as a/ I pay and get regular updates from Experian and b/ I have to have a first class credit rating due to the job I do. I therefore feel they have put a black mark against my credit rating too. Any advice I can get is going to be gratefully appreciated.

  7. How many people out there have fallen foul to the non existant "customer excellence" department of Littlewoods.com. I have recently become an acct holder and since day one it's been a continuing saga of parcels turning up late or not on the paid for next day delivery slot, i've had every excuse from courier problems(tring a new one out) being favourite at the moment, the call centre is appalling and at times i've waited up to 40 mins just to get through, on one occaision i spent a combined total of 5 hours on hold or with no response, this of course is using their 0844 extra rate number, and on this day i had the simplest of enquiries which could have been dealt with in one brief call. The request for a call back is always answered with the stock answer that someone will but no one does, i've been told to p... off, "calm down mate", i get absolutely no response to any mails, they always quote the "many satisfied customers", i have asked for money to be refunded to my card, they put it on the available to spend amount, when you call you invariably get a "home worker" who pretty much only take orders. Any letters are generic acknowledgements, i have saved about 15 to 20 of these along with my own e-mails,but all i'm told is that it's being investigated by the Directors Office, then nothing. I have sent two letters of complaint, one recorded, no response. What are the British Customer supposed to do, they will refund the extra delivery charge but that does not help if you want the order on the date they advertise(next day) or (selected day), but this only gets done if you wait on the customer service line for hours to report it. Why oh why must we still have to suffer these huge phone bills phoning these numbers for little or no help. I think Littlewoods personally are without doubt at the botton of the CS list, it is appalling and i have waited around one month and have had nothing. What advice can anyone give to try and break down this brick wall of indifferance.
  8. Hello, i'm new to this forum so i'm not quite sure where i should post this! Me & my partner have littlewoods & next catalogues, & i'm really struggling to keep up with all the payments! is there any way i can reduce the minimum payment with any of these if so anyone done it before & how did you manage to get them to agree! I'm starting to worry about this now as i don't want to get a bad credit rating but just can't afford the minimum payments they are asking for! I'm a stay at home mum and my partner works but we have lots of bills to pay and these ones haven't been my priority! Any help would be highly appreciated! Thankyou
  9. Hi, I returned 8 items of clothing back to Littlewoods on 17th November in the same bag. They have only refunded my account 7 items. I have contacted them about this, and the only reply im getting is "Thanks for contacting us about your return. I'm sorry but we have not yet received the returned items. If the return was collected/sent more than 14 days ago, please let me know the catalogue number, the date you sent the parcel back and the bar-code number, which you'll find on your proof of return" I threw out my receipt as Littlewoods sent me a text message saying that they have recieved my parcel. Regardless of that, even if i did have my receipt it would still say delievered, as all other items in that parcel were recieved and refunded! The receipt does not list individual items, just one barcode for the one package. I am not happy about this, and i will refuse to pay the £32 for jeans i did not keep! Any suggesions or help will be appreciated!! Many thanks Sarah
  10. Hello all, I was pointed this way by a few concerned friends when I showed them a letter I had received yesterday from Hamptons Legal, (on the back it said it was from Lowell) regarding a debt from a catalog (Littlewoods-Shop Direct) totalling £600+ from about a year or so ago. Now at that time I was in Scotland, but due to domestic issues with my partner we split and I moved back down to my family in Hampshire around the start of April this year. In the madness which ensued, and the fact my partner was paying this off (He stopped since and failed to inform me) I thought all this had been resolved. I acknowledge I owe this money, since it is in my name, so upon receipt of this letter which threatened the usual (bailiffs, CCJ etc) I called Lowells and tried to explain and make a workable payment plan. The woman who answered was rude, aggressive and kept talking over me, demanding I set up a direct debit immediately to clear the debt, not listening when I tried to explain that I am alone and on Income support with 2 young children to support, and that paying £600 in one go just wasn't a possibility. I tried to explain if she would be willing to send me payment slips, I would pay them £50 a month until the account was settled. "We don't do that anymore, so I want your bank account details so I can set up a Direct debit" was all I got in response. I explained again that I wasn't going to give her my bank account details over the phone. When she ignored me again after I re-explained my situation to her and that I don't have that much money to pay in one go, things got a little heated when she demanded my bank account details for the 4th or 5th time and I ended up throwing a few choice words her way and hung up. Since then I have had nothing but bothersome phone-calls demanding I pay up via direct debit immediately, or they will send the bailiffs out to my grandmothers house (which is where I am currently living) to "recover the debt". I am more than willing to pay the amount owing, but I cant afford to do it in the lump sum they want me to via direct debit and i have a sneaking suspicion that had I given them my bank account details, I'd have had a very angry phone-call from my bank this morning. Any help or advice would be greatly received right now, because I'm frazzled and have no idea what to do now. Lise x
  11. i need some advice please, i had a littlewoods catalogue over 5 years ago, i ran a debt up of £618.00, one thing lead to another and i diid'nt pay it. Yesterday morning i got a letter from a preofessional debt collector asking me to pay this amount in full. I phoned this comapany up and explained i can not pay this amount in full, i offered to pay £10 a month as i am not working, they told me to send proof of my income and out going which i am in receipt of sending this off today 29/11/2012, what i want to know is what are my rights and can they make me pay the full amount all at once, any advice would be grateful as i am worried sick incase they come to my door and start harrassing me over this. thank you in advanced
  12. i got into trouble paying littlewoods each month, as i lost my job and was tough to find monthly payments. last time i paid littlewoods i only had half the amount they wanted, think they wanted £85 and i only had £40. though the £40 was the only money i had that week, so i didnt pay, as we needed to eat. eventually littlewoods passed this debt of around £530 to lowells. i remember getting letters from lowells about making arrangements to pay this debt off. after awhile i decided to phone them. i said i would pay them £15 a month till debt was paid off, by this time the had gone from £530 to £684, with their charges. guy i spoke too said £15 wasnt enough, and said id have to fill in a income expenditure form, which i said i didnt want to do, so i said ok ill give you £20 a month, then he said if i paid £22.50 a month it would be paid off 4 months earlier, so i said ok, and set up a direct debit, the debt is down to £507 now. after reading about lowells on here i am seriously thinking of stopping the direct debits to them, and getting in touch with littlewoods and say to them ill pay them direct ,id like some advice on this matter, if i should cancel dd or carry on paying lowells till debt is paid ?
  13. Hello, I have a littlewoods account for a good 8 or 9 years. I always paid it etc but I am now having trouble financially due to been unemployed. I tried on 3 seperate occasions (by phone) to get my payment due date moved by 3 days to stop incuring the £12 late payment fee but was always told no we cannot change the due date. I owed approx £100 on goods but now owe £245 due to the late charges. I was passed to the internal debt company NDR Money and was suppoed to pay them so much each mont by tempary payment arrangement. (This was equivilent to the minimum payment littlewoods wanted anyway). I cannot afford it so I haven't paid it. Last week I recieved a Default Notice Served Under Section 87 (1) Of the consumer Credit Act 1974 Basically saying if I had to pay them 184.57 before 26/11. I called them on Tuesday last to say that I couldn't pay this amount by that date and was advised to after saying I could pay something but not all of it on the 28/11 that IF it hadn't been passed to an external Debt Collection they MAY try and arrange another tempoary payment plan. Please help and advise as I am unsure what more I can do. Many Thanks In Advance.

  15. would like some advice on a couple of debts which are showing on my CRA as being owned by Arrow DCA. Entry 1. Original creditor - Littlewoods/index catalogue - default date July 2007 for the amount of roughly £2500 (don't want to post exact figures for obvious reasons) however balance now stands at over £1200 more !!!!!! I have received letters from Global, Mack hall, phoenix recoveries, moorcroft, yet it still remains on my file under the name Arrow ???? I have not made any payment on this account during the last 6 years (messy divorce etc). What shall i do now i am becoming increasingly worried as i see more and more cases having SD on them and being taken to court.I have noticed that Tocatto have done a recent search are they connected? Thanks for help
  16. Hello all, My mum has received a letter from Cabot Financial in regards to a credit card, where the original lender Barclaycard Littlewoods. This letter is in one of her previously married names and its take a very long time for them to contact her, atleast 4/5 years. She apparently owes just over £2,200, although my mum can not remember ever taking out a credit card with Littlewoods, and if she ever did have a credit card, the limit would have only been maximum £500.. The things we were wondering is, how do we go about finding out what the original debt was for and how much for, and also when? Do we just write a letter to Cabot Financial and request a copy of her credit agreement under the Consumer Credit Act 1974 or are there a few more things we will need to include in the letter? Thanks
  17. Hello I have been in quite bad financial trouble due to payday loans, and have a payment plan with Littlewoods which I have got behind on, and they have now threatened to pass my account to a DCA. If it goes to a DCA, will this mean the account shows as default on my credit file? I'd be happy to arrange a plan with the DCA but worried about constant phone calls to my home where I live with parents. Any advice is welcome, I owe less than £1k to littlewoods, which after september will be easier for me to clear. Thanks

  19. Does anyone have the account details for Littlewoods so I can set up a standing order please? Thank you!
  20. I am posting this on behalf of my daughter ( 24yrs old ) as she is really worried and has now got me even more worried. Sarah got herself a catalogue with Littlewoods 4 years ago and had had no problems paying the monthly amounts but did start to go OTT with the BNPL offers which i can imagine are tempting. 4 months ago she was made redundant. Currently she is on income support as she has a child but she is desperately looking for work. I didn't know till this weekend when she came to me in tears that she had stopped her payments and has been recieving letters weekly from NDR. Her total debt is £4,250 which includes lots of interest for BNPL which are due in Oct, Nov, Dec, Jan, Feb ,March and April. She will be unable to make those BNPL payments so the iterest will be added. I have had a good read of the forum over the last 24hrs and seen a lot of help and advice given in these circumstances. I would like to know which letter do we send first of all to ask for the interest to be frozen. I want to make £80 a month payments on the account for her but can see that this offer will more than likely be refused. £36 a month is being added at the moment in charges so i don't want to pay £80 a month if they are still going to make these charges. £80 a month will take approx 26 months to pay off the original amount owed minus the interest. If i pay the £80 a month and at the end of 26 months there is still interest and charges there what do we do? Should she write and offer £80 a month and ask that interest and charges be frozen and then me commence payments? Could anyone please point me in the right direction of a template letter to get this all started. Apologies if this is all a bit jumbled.
  21. I want to refund an Acer Aspire 5551 laptop which my mom purchased in Christmas 2010, I don't want a repair, replacement but just a refund because there's alot of faults on the laptop I'm using now such as cracked hinges, broken keys and anything else could begin to crack at any moment now. The question is I'm wanting to ask is even though the warranty has expired and purchased by my mom, can I still get a refund without my mom going mad if that makes sense?
  22. i have recently came out of work and can now longer make the payments to the above. I have tried to reason with littlewoods and all they offed me was a way of transfering my credit balence to a payment plan loan i think it is now i cant afford the payments and am looking to start the process of getting them to agre to a lower ammount (£1) per month if i can and i would also like to claim back all my charges i have the first letter template and will get this sent ASAP but need to know how i go about claiming back the charges if i can i am looking to do this for both little woods and premier man. with premier man they are also harrassing me for payments any help would be great
  23. I am new. I recently applied for my credit file. There was only 1 agreement on my file under "Credit Agreements" The Company is, Shop Direct Finance Company Ltd. The details are as follows; Name Mr (CORRECT) Date of Birth (CORRECT) Terms 0 @ £ 0 (Monthly) Status Settled Current Balance £ 0 Start Balance £ 0 Credit Limit £ 0 Default /Delinquent Balance £ 0 Start Date 22/12/2001 Date Updated 06/10/2009 Date Last Delinquent N/A Date Satisfied 26/09/2009 Payment History - There is nothing whatsoever, except in September 2009, a Green Square for Settled. There is no other financial history regarding payments. I do not have any other financial commitments / information on my credit report. I am positive that I opened this account in 2001 (unsure if it was accepted or declined), however I know I never used the account (It was for my mother who already had her own catalogue), however; 1.Does this account having no credit limit, opened in 2001 and no payment history until it was closed with Settled, mean anything? The start Balance was £0 and ending Balance £0. 2. It states satisfied as the same date as settled. - Does settled not mean a bad thing? Can anyone provide their views/opinions? 3. Why after 8 years have they decided to put this on my file? 4. In terms of things appearing on your credit file, nothing was signed. I am sure this was via telephone - can someone advise me on the legal status of this information being legally allowed to appear on my file considering they have no actual signed credit agreement and no purchase etc. The response from Equifax was "This account is appearing as settled with no negative information. Credit agreement information remains on your Credit Report for six years from the date that the account was settled or defaulted, whichever occurs first." Naturally, I do not believe a word they say, hence the reason for asking you brilliant people. Thanks, Div
  24. I put in a request under CCA section 77/78 to pheonix collections I left it for 40+ days and still got no responce. I decided to log a complaint through my equifax account online and got a reply within days.. Response (Administrator)14/06/2011 03.10 PM Good Afternoon, We can confirm that we have received your request for a copy of the credit agreement in regards to this account. We can confirm that Shop Direct have been unable to provide us with a copy of the signed agreement for this account and have therefore requested that we close this account. Please be advised that you will no longer be pursued for this debt by either Credit Account Management on behalf of Phoenix Recoveries or our appointed agencies. We have arranged for our record on the files of the Credit Reference Agencies to be deleted. Please allow for up to twenty-eight days for your file to be updated. We trust this brings a satisfactory conclusion to this matter. Kind Regards, Credit Account Management I am totaly satisfied with this outcome and only sent 1 letter...lol The account was opened in 2002 then defaulted in 2008 as I was made redundant. £3653 + Defaults "PoooooF" gone just like that:-D cant believe how damn easy it was
  25. I was wondering if this company are in leeds and i'm in scotland what they are entitled to do to my legally. It started with a dispute with littlewoods over payment dates and then they passed it to nationwide debt and then they took my insurance off me. I went through citizens advice to settle it sending off forms detailing my finances and what i could afford and littlewoods did nothing with this. They then passed it to lowell who have been hounded me since 2008/09 despite me telling them that is wasn't that i didn't want to pay littlewoods it's that i was appealing my insurance being taken off and that instead of littlewoods dealing with the appeal the just bumped it off. A few months i moved and they seemed to have passed it back to littlewoods and then passed it back to lowells due to my change of address which i did not inform them off and now they have passed it to hamptons legal and they are threatened inhibition against my property(i'm a tenant not owner what does this mean?) earnings arrestment and a court sheriff being used to remove goods from my house. They have also said they have a copy of my credit file surprising since they have my new address but not my married name. What does all this mean for me i'm very confused and don't know where to go from here?
