  1. Hi all A few years ago I had some relative success with unfair charges and managed to pay off my debts I've started again this time with PPI and would like to pick your collective brain in the near future should the need arise I've put in 4 claims so far with Barclaycard, HFC, Barclay Loans and CitiVisa. I'm yet to pursue Egg and RBS My case is: HFC: Was gainfully employed when taking out the 6K loan. With sick pay and redundancy pay off guaranteed depending on time served. PPI and interest bumped it up to 9k (beggers). PPI was compulsory I was told, for the completion of the application. Was made redundant 6 months later but I had a job to go to so left with a hefty cheque of 6 months salary and started new job 2 weeks later. No lapse in payments in that time Paid a chunk of loan off and other debts and brought the balance to a manageable repayment amount with redundancy pay off. 2 years later I was made redundant again but no cheque this time to see me through and pay off my debts. Couldnt pay and tried to claim on PPI and they said eh.....NO Went into dmp and paid off debt over the next 4 years but.. Wrote to them asking them to cancel the PPI.. No response Anyhoo, dmp paid off the debt (and what was left of it at the time was PPI and interest only by my guess) in 2008 and HFC sent me a letter to acknowledge satisfaction of the debt (took a few hundred off when I was near the finish line) Case or not? (Claim in already, had account and old SAR statement but no agreement. Will look again for that) Barclaycard: Filled in the mailshot through door and got approved chop chop. Wasn't asked at all about PPI and got a PPI certificate soon after saying "my application had been approved" Hmm Kept it and tried to cancel when the wheels came off the wagon having tried to claim and they said NO.So felt well why pay if it don't to what it do??? Case or not? (No agreement but account details and PPI certificate with policy number available) CitiVisa: Mailshot again (fool) and sent non advised situ. This time I recall that form had "opt out" option only Had letter from 2004 acknowledging and confirming my cancellation of PPI after I tried to claim and again they said no (there's a theme here right? It's all true) Case or not? (letter confirming request for PPI cancellation in 2004. SAR statements but available from that time) Barclay Loans: Paid off loan early and the sneakies sent me a letter and cheque for £145, 12 months letter to say they had noticed that they had charged me PPI for the full term of the loan and were paying back the £145 as it was paid off earlier. I wrote back saying " can I have the rest if you please"? i'm yet to hear from them Case or not? ( letter acknowledging I'd over paid PPI with copy of the cheque. Account details etc available but no statements)

    NHS Battle cont...

I just had a rude pile of crap talk to me on the phone.... In short (as a follow on from what I posted before but different thing) The hospital screwed up 3 times... thus investigation for complaint is taking more than double the time they quoted. I apply for refund of train fare which I am entitled to... their head office even send me exception forum.... Visit 1: Told to bring someone with me, Op would happen - Op delayed Visit 2: As above Visit 3: Operation under general anaesthetic done Visit 4: Checkup, again was told to bring someone with me in case anything else needed to be done. Claiming money back has been a pain. They finally phone today stating they are not paying for the person who came with me, because they believe I didnt need someone with me. Couldnt give too much info as my main info is locked to a complaint procedure. They are refusing to pay this persons money back... even though 1: I was told each time I need someone to accompany me 2: It was a general anaesthetic procedure which confirms they need someone to accompany me She was a total bitch on phone, saying im not entitled any money back for the person that came with me as they should not of been with me (wtf... general anaesthetic = someone must accompany you) I told her theres a complaint procedure opened against them, which sums it all up but she couldnt care less, said I wont be getting money for the person who was instructed to come with me. Whats next?
  3. What do we actually mean when we say: "You are reminded that should you fail to comply with my CCA request, the provisions of s.77(6) will apply." What applies should they (the banks, loan & credit card companies) fail to send a enforceable CCA??? just trying to get my head round the jargon...
  4. In April this year me and my partner while coming back from Liverpool stopped off at TKMAX. I suggested we pick up a frying pan so I could cook breakfast in the morning. It was a quick in and out job as we needed to get back home quick. We looked at the pans in the reduced section which all where £3 to £4 on them i picked up a suitable one i liked in that section but it had no sticker on it (price). i said to my partner get one of them tags and put it on this because being in a hurry i didn't want to take it to the desk where then she would have to send some one back up find a price those making a 5 minute job into a 20 minute one. i took it to the cashier who is actually is a client of mine. payed the £4 and walked out. as leaving a hand grabbed me shoulder. turns out to be security wanting to ask questions about this bloody pan. they asked for our details and said we were watched on camera doing something worse than shoplifting (fraud) No police where called and no arrest where made. He said it was a joint fine and we would receive a letter in the post for a fine he said would be only £40. I told him my story and said I would pay the difference for that bloody pan as I needed one. But they had refund me and take it of me. Later that week I received the letter asking for £170 ( same letter was sent to my partners home address too. i did my research and have ignored the letters. they keep writing to me demanding this money which i think is robbery on their behalf. But now I received a phone call from someone in that department demanding I pay this sum of money. I didn't admit anything on the phone just told them who I was and why was I being celled. He was very aragont and rude persistant to know if I was the person he wanted to speak with. He then stated you where caught shoplifting in tkmax on the 7 April to which I kept saying no because it wasn't it was apparently fraud I committed. To end the call I said am not paying anything. So what will their next tactic be? It put me in such a bad mood all day for something so petty. I had no intention of thieving from the store nor have ever been convicted of shoplifting because I never do it. any advice would be greatful x
