  1. Back again. Received letters from crapquest about taking over my loans again and now they have sent a letter saying they are going to instruct resolvecall to make a home visit. The debt is SB now so should I just send crapquest the SB letter?
  2. ignore them. resolvecall is the old name for scotcall or snotscrawl as we used to call them. if you do get a doorstepper, have some fun with him if you wish and get your mobile out and film him. don't engage, simply tell him to leave you property and not to return else you will call police 101. just remember the golden rules. a DCA is not and can never be a BAILIFF. and have ZERO legal powers on any debt no matter what it's type dx
  3. Hello, It has been a while since had any contact about this debt but now I'm being contacted by resolvecall. What is the best way to deal with them?
  4. Hello This is my first time writing a thread and would be grateful for any help! My husband's business got in to trouble and had to be closed last summer. Owing to this I had to write to all his personal creditors as we simply had no money to pay any of his debts at that time. I have maintained contavt with all the creditors and over the past 6 months have increased payments and made those promised payments on time. I am however having difficulties with Barclaycard. For 4 months they did not respond to any correspondence. I still made the payments I had proposed. In the end I sent a formal complaint to initiate a response. The response was that my offer of £23 was not enough, they demanded £84. Subsequant to their final letter, we received a letter on Monday (18th) from Mercers as I was beginning to write a repsonse, I received a letter form a company called Resolvecall on the 21st?! How is this possibly fair? Their letter basically states that my husband must contact Mercers as a matter of urgency otherwise they will send round one of their "representatives" Who on earth are these people?!
  5. I received a letter today. So Idem has now "instructed" Westcot Credit Services to try and get the money from us. Resolvecall seem to have stopped calling/writing. We are still within the 30 days to respond to their PAP letter so why have they passed this to another DCA before our response? Are Westcot just like Resolvecall?? Has anyone had any dealings with Westcot? TIA.
  6. Interesting that letter offered the 50% discount/50% write off if accept in March - yet another 2 letters have since been sent - one dated 2 days later demanding the whole amount and one dated 1 week later from a different company acting on behalf of intrum - resolvecall - asking to pay in full or they will send a rep to discuss in person...
  7. Hi So this has been quiet Since Feb 17...till 7th March when I got a letter from Resolvecall Creditor DLC - MBNA Cabot Financial (Europe) Ltd We are acting on behalf of Cabot Financial (Europe) Ltd who have purchased you account from DLC - MBNA. We have been instructed to contact you to out you back in touch with Cabot who will aim to find an amicable resolution which is affordable, based on your circumstances. We would ask you contact Cabot Financial (Europe) Ltd on 0345 xxxx within 7 days to discuss this matter or if you prefer, we can send one of our representatives to make a personal visit to your home. The purpose of this visit is to offer to assist you in contacting our client to discuss your account and offer personal support to review your options and to resolve the matter. Please do not ignore this letter. Act now to have a positive discussion about your account. Then their contact details.. Of course I just filed it with all the other paperwork. BUT I have just had a visit from Resolvecall. I had a neighbour in with me so denied anyone by this name lived here. He left an envelope with contact details and asked me to call. HELP what do I do??? TIA
  8. Hi, apologies if I’m repeating similar cases. I have read some of these threads but finding myself more and more confused. Erudio have recently been demanding payment of the sum of £8500, sending threatening letters, calls from CapQuest and a home-call card from ResolveCall. I have young children at home and do not want strangers knocking at the door. I queried by email the information that was held against my account and they responded:- “We note your comments and confirm that Erudio have owned your account since March 2014. Your last deferment ended on 14/11/2014, and as no new deferment was in place, and no payments were met, due to the level of arrears your account exited the terms and conditions on 19/07/2016, subsequently terminating. Your account has been outsourced to our 3rd party Capquest Debt Recovery to be managed on our behalf, and would ask you to contact them direct to discuss your account further”. I didn’t understand this Erudio takeover and have moved house several times since 2014. I understood my loans from my undergraduate degree (1996-2000) to have been deferred in line with my other loans. At the time, I would likely have sent them the deferment paperwork and not taken any other action unless contacted. I did not heard further from them until a termination letter demanding full payment around 2016/2017. Since 2014 I have been working part-time and earning well below the threshold. As they stated in their email above that no payment has been received since 2014, I sent them the SB letter. They then sent me an ‘annual statement’ stating that £300 had been paid on 1 Jul 2019 and that the loans were therefore not SB. I told them this payment was erroneous (I would noticed such an outgoing!), and they then re-stated that the payments were instead made in 2017 not 2019 by a third party- StepChange. I had briefly had a repayment debt plan through StepChange around 2016/2017 and had added Erudio believing it to be a consumer debt. I am querying what payments, if any, were made from StepChange at the time, but from my records believe it to have been a £1 token monthly payment. I have again emailed Erudio and told them to provide me with a copy of the original credit agreement and an accurate balance sheet evidencing what payments have been made on the account. Please could you advise what I should do next. I would be really grateful. I am hoping to apply for a mortgage in the near future and do not want a CCJ or any adverse credit issues. Thank you
  9. Hi everyone! Just jumping on this post as I’ve just been reading through. I’ve literally just got a letter through my door from Arrow telling me my shop direct (carval) account has been passed to Resolvecall. The debt is £204.76. Reading online I think the debt might be from littlewoods. I am now 34 and have worked hard over the last 10 years to improve my credit score after messing it up when I was a teenager. I’m not saying the debt isn’t mine, it could well be as I took out a lot off silly little accounts when I was 18 but like I say, I have paid back everything I thought I had borrowed and haven’t had any defaults for a years now and now all of a sudden I get this letter. If this debt is mine it is probably from about 14 to 16 years ago! At first i thought it was a scam but reading through them seem to be a real company but I don’t want to call and give them any of my details but I don’t want to effect my credit score that I’ve worked so hard to build and I also don’t want to pay a debt if it wasn’t mind. I think anyone would struggle to remember what they had bought that long ago! Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks
  10. Hi everyone! I’ve just read through a few other post so doing my own now. Now all of a sudden I get this letter. If this debt is mine it is probably from about 14 to 16 years ago! 11. Was paying off an old debt they bought wrote to them almost 18 months ago informing them of my then circumstance (serious road accident off work for 28 months with no income) my repayments to them ceased due to lack of money but never heard anything from them in responce. I returned to work in April of this year and with mortgage arrears etc completely forgot about the CQ debt, a week ago I received a letter from them informing me of 'Notification of Account Transfer to New Agency' (new agency being Drydensfairfax Solicitors), it states. We are writing to let you know that the management of your account has been transferred to Drydensfairfax Solicitors' On Aug 18 I received a letter from Drydensfairfax informing me who they are and that I have until Aug 23 to pay the full amount outstanding or to contact them. Today I received another letter from CQ stating they have been unable to contact me to discuss my account so will shortly be instructing Resolvecall LTD to visit my property, if they do not hear from me by Aug 30 Resolvecalll will be instructed to visit my property without further notice. Seems a very strange way to conduct business by passing an account to a solicitor then gearing up to insturct a doorstep caller to visit a property!
  12. Thank you. Is this the correct address for resolvecall? The letter is not vary clear as I guess they want me to phone them. Resolvecall 2nd Floor Spectrum House 55 Blythswood Street Glasgow G2 7AT
  13. Cabot got hold of this a while ago and I've received various letters from them which I've obviously ignored. They've now said they're sending Resolvecall to come and visit me. I've recently moved address so do I need to inform Cabot about this? Also, if I have to inform them, should I send them a CCA at the same time?
  14. well neither wetcloths nor resolvecall will be anything to do with this debt subject to a court claim. you must have others debts...
  15. Hi BB, Thank you for your support. I do have a paper trail and records of all correspondence. Good point about the letter wording. DMS letters refer to the original creditor and state that the balance is owed to DM.S directly, and basically, stop paying the original creditor and settle with them. Tecso did write and say they couldn't process our payments and said to pay DM.S a year ago, but we've continued to make the payments to the original creditor. Resolvecall letters refer to acting on behalf of DMS. DM.S got the name wrong and put an extra initial I sent the dispute letters to DM.S I have been hiding the names as they've got us panicked at the moment. Debt Managers (services) Ltd Rotherham. Original Creditor Tesco Bank Hi Dx, Thanks for your reply. It is the same loan I'm afraid. I have been hiding the names as they've got us panicked at the moment. Debt Managers (services) Ltd Rotherham. Original Creditor Tesco Bank
  16. Good Afternoon everyone, hope you are all safe and well. So previously i had a topic called Lloyds Debt sold to Cabot, now Resolvecall. This debt has now gone back to Cabot and they are sending letters now every week and attempt to call my wife all the time on different numbers. We have been ignoring them but now we have a letter saying we have 9 days to get in contact otherwise an agent could knock on my door. I still have the original letter where Cabot have told us the debt is unenforceable and yet they still are harassing and lately even more so. Are we still OK to ignore these threats and they are trying to break the statute barred rule by making contact somehow? Any advice please as the wife is now worried. is there anything we can do to stop them harassing her? Thanks again guys for all your help.
  17. good. ever sent cabot a cca request? resolvecall might be the first baby steps toward a letter of claim and court as this is only 6mts away from sb. granted debt buyers always leave things till the 6yrs is almost up before doing so to rack up court interest on the debt, but it's p'haps worthy to see what cards they have now and be prepared.
  18. The last payment was made around June - July 2015 It was taken out at my older address Cabot took over the debt 6 months ago so had the normal or introducing themselves, then the normal please contact then the last one about a month ago saying they were instructing resolvecall to pay me a visit.
  19. Hello again. As you will have seen above, my recent query early this year was in relation to 2 CC debts previously sold off to DCAs and subsequently transferred to another DCA. SInce I sent the CCA requests I received one letter saying they didn't have it and realised this meant they couldn't enforce the debt but would continue to contact me - which they have, asking for income & expenses etc etc which I have ignored. The other they sent me a copy of the application form with terms and conditions which DX advised wasn't a copy of the CCA and I should ignore. Following that I have received several letters firstly saying they would be referring the account the ResolveCall who may visit me at home, to my knowledge they haven't. Further to that I then received a letter stating they were in the process of referring the account to their Litigation Dept. included was a form to complete with tick boxes, I owe the debt, I owe part of the debt, I dispute the debt, I don't know etc which I ignored (I was given 30 days to reply) I have now received a further letter telling me if I don't reply it will be sent to the Litigation Dept. Any idea what happens next ? If they take me to court what is my argument ? I've tried to research on this forum but haven't come across anything that quite covers this type of letter. I expect this is usual procedure but I'm not sure if the intent is to scare me into submission or if they feel they have a serious claim that they can take me to court for.
  20. Thanks for your reply dx100uk appreciate your help. Is this the barred letter Updated Nov 19? I not need to wait for agreement or send correspondence to Resolvecall? thanks
  21. resolvecall are a powerless dca and a dca can never be a bailiff. go chase that SAR, they only had 30days!!
  22. sent off for the SAR still haven't heard anything from them but today received a Cabot letter saying as they haven't heard from me they will instruct a company called resolvecall to visit my home. should i be worried about this or is there a generic letter i can send to cabot
  23. i would have though after the amount of court cases you've had you'd know by now you NEVER ring a powerless DCA - they are NOT bailiffs. resolvecall don't buy debts, only chase for their stated client. neither of your old cabot CCJ threads have any update as to actually what happened at the end of the day...so it could be either one of your existing Cabot CCJ's .
  24. ignore snotscrawl..sorry resolvecall. send THEIR STATED CLIENT.. our SB letter from the debt collection section of our library.
  25. The letter: REFERENCE YOUR OVERDUE ARROW GLOBAL ACCOUNT We are acting on behalf of ARROW GLOBAL and have been advised by them you have failed to adhere to the terms of the repayment arrangement previously agreed between you and arrow global. As a result resolvecall has been instructed by arrow global to collect the outstanding balance due to them by you on your account. Should you be unable to clear the balance in full at this time resolvecall are willing to discuss a revised payment arrangement however this can only be achieved by you contacting resolvecall immediately upon receipt of this letter. Should you fail to contact resolvecall as rrequested this may lead to a personal visit being made by one of our representatives to your home to collect payment and we may commence legal proceedings to recover sums due on your account. You should also be aware that whilst your account remains unpaid this may impact on your ability to obtain credit and by contacting resolvecall now you will be taking action to address this.
