  1. Hi, Got a letter a couple of days ago from these "people" and my heart sunk It's in reference to a CCJ they must of got after I left my last address over 2 years ago. .. at the time they were trying to go for a charging order on my home, but sold it just in time Now they have caught up with me and sent the following letter What should I do? Obviously if they got a CCJ.... what are my options here? Any advice welcome... ps. I no longer own my own home.
  2. Been in arrears with SPML, had warrants suspended, paid off arrears then fell back again. One month ago before Judge X the case was adjourned until 13th February pending the payment of £4156 before 31st January. Due to matters beyond our control this did not happen. However, at court on Friday we were listed to sit before a nice lady judge, Judge Z. When SPML's solicitors realised this they weren't happy especially as Judge Z was quite obviously leaning in our favour. She even said 'in the current economic climate repossession helps neither party...'. But my oppo managed to persuade Judge Z that the case should be heard by Judge X and we subsequently reconvened before him. Judge X, true to form decided in favour of SPML and we are to be evicted in the next 2 - 3 weeks unless we can now find all of the arrears - £8000. What right of appeal do I now have, if any? Also, can I appeal using the case of Norgan v C&G or does this have to be argued by a lawyer?
  3. I had a Loan with hsbc in 1999 i lost my job in 2001, the loan had protection and i had that paid for 12months after this I could not pay as was on a course and I defaulted on the loan and the debt went to Metropolitan collection services. I was paying them back £48 per month during the 2003 and put it up after they wanted more money to £51 per month now out of the blue I was contacted by Direct Legal and collections demanding £10k on my mobile phone and also my home phone. I asked the lady on the phone who are you I have never heard of you, She said that a letter was sent saying that they had bought the debt. She asked for my date of birth and postcode I said sorry I dont know you, you are probably a fraudster write to me if you got all my details. after contacting MCS they told me they passed on the debt to Hillesden on the 13th Jan 2009.
  4. I am currently trying to get £1,670 repaid from Lloydstsb I have sent the first letter off to them and they have replied stating that it was in my terms and conditions about the charges and that I should consult the OFT if I feel that I have been wrongly done to. I am prepared to go to court if I have a small chance of winning, however I have heard that Lloydstsb are one of the only banks that do not repay charges that they have made. Lloydstsb have currently got me overdrawn by £670 and I am in dire mess through them I have missed a mortgage payment and a secured loan payment I have had my phone and internet turned off and my car insurance cancelled it is a living nightmare, I have been to discuss this with my bank and all they said was to pay the charges and to cancel all the direct debits. But I need things such as my car, internet and phone for my work if I don't have them then I don't have any work and if I don't have any work then I don't have any money I am just going around in circles. Can someone please help......
