  1. I've got an historic CC debt with HSBC which I CCA'd in August 2007 and they wrote back saying they couldn't find the Credit Agreement. There's been no potentially payment since Summer 2006, however unlike my other debts this ones completely missing from my credit files (Noddle & Checkmyfile). Has this already disappeared off my file or is there a chance its not linked correctly?
  2. Hi all, Having just paid off the last of my debt, I'm in the process of tidying up my Credit File. I've looked at my Equifax report, and just noticed that a defaulted Barclaycard account is showing twice. It appears that when Barclaycard sold the debt to Lowell Group, the original entry was marked as a default and "satisfied" then Lowell have registered it again as a default (both the same date). Can anybody advise the best way to proceed? I've raised a dispute via Equifax already but I'm not sure how long this will take for them to sort? Any advice would be gratefully received. Thanks jpd070
  3. Hi ..Just been reading this thread...and it's almost a mirror image to my nightmare. http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?370805-Lombard-Direct-Arden-Credit-Management-Query-PPI-reclaim-now&p=4062117#post4062117 The same players as well ..LOMBARD ...THEN IDEM ..THEN ARDEN CREDIT.... .Who are really turning up the gas on me constantly reviewing my payments to them every few months and constantly pressurizing me . I had the original loan with Lombard taken out september 2000. for £13,300 & PPI upfront payment of £2431.87 .plus total charge for credit £4081.33 total amount to be paid = £19813.20. Via 60 x monthly payments of £330.22 @ 9.90% APR. In 2001 November. I had a nervous breakdown and used the PPI to pay the load for a year. After which time the cover expired. As I have been disabled with mental health issues these past eleven or so years I have just been paying reduced payments to the various people Lombard seem to flog my debt too. They (Arden Credit ) are always asking me for more money (which I have been doing but have now reached my maximum of £120 per month) as I am on DLA . They know I have mental health issues, but when I tell them I cannot afford any increase to my monthly payments they send out a income & expenditure form . (even though I e mailed them one two weeks ago.after seeking help from the National debt helpline). What annoys me is I never ever fail to respond to them in any letters, but when I e mail my responses they say they have no record of the e mails until I challenge them ...then they say ..oh yes here it is. ..its making my health worse and I need to know if there is anything I can do to get the people off my back .. ..how much power do these people actually have ..given that this debt was taken out in 2001 , And I have never ever missed a (reduced ) payment to whoever was handling the loan. And do I have any thing to go on with regard to this PPI Payment which I originally paid out for...... Thanks Eddy
  4. I just viewed my credit file with Experian. There are no debts on it at all, which cannot be correct as I have several unsecured debts. (all in my maiden name) I applied to view my credit file in my married name, but I am sure it asked me when I registered for other names i,e maiden name. So I would have thought it would have linked my maiden name and married name together. Do I have to view the file in my maiden name separately?
  5. I have an account with Vodafone and have had for many years, just noticed on my Credit Files that two seperate accounts are showing, both up to date with payments, both updated 01/08/2012. Not sure why 2 accounts are showing.
  6. Hello, I had a CCJ 6 years ago - I settled it in full within 2 months. However all 3 agencies are still showing it on my file & it should have dropped off this month (it is from Aug 06) I contacted checkmyfile about this & they said it would be removed after 1st Sept Equifax are still showing the CCJ as active even though it was paid in full Checkmyfile have told me that equifax will therefore not remove the CCj from my file even though it is over 6 years old Does this mean I need to go through the process of getting a certificate of satisfaction etc. to get this CCJ removed from my file? All I have is a receipt from the creditor (from the time of payment) showing the payment. I don't have a letter of satisfaction from them. One cofusing factor is that although I paid it in Sept 2006, the other 2 credit agencies show it as being satisfied in Nov 2008?! Does anyone have any advice?! Thanks in advance.
  7. Please dont judge, i honestly feel so sick, i cant sleep, and i cant eat. I need help asap. I have a partner, who doesnt live with me, due to the fact hes getting help for anger problems, and tbh we cant afford to live together. He stays on his mates sofa 3-4times a week and then at mine the rest. Obv he leaves for work and comes home when hes staying here. He pays £100 to my landlord for the extra hb doesnt cover, which helps alot else i would be in debt. He doesnt pay any other bills, apart from halfs on sky internet, which he uses when he stays. we have two children together, he has never "lived"with me, apart from when we lived at my mum n dads for a year, but he had his own room, and paid rent. I have a feeling i know who has "grassed" on me, a women we had a kind of thing with a year ago. OH ended up cheating on me with her. I finished, He realised what he did, so stopped it with her and came back to me. She was jealous, and said some very hurtful things, and did hurtful things. Anyway, heres the awkward bit. Were engaged. He proposed last year. weve set a date for July 13th, and have gave notice of the marriage. So i dont know if there going to believe were not living together, even though we have two children and are "getting married". Although the wedding is on hold until he sorts his anger out. He has until Jan. I feel sick everyday, I have postnatal depression, which is all time high, So feel like breakingdown all the time. Forgot to add, he did stay with me for a few weeks this year, As my depression got so bad that i couldnt even get out of bed. [my mum passed away two years ago]. WHAT evidence could they have on me? I know all his bills ect does get sent to the house. what am i going to do? i cant live without my own money, i feel sick and worried
  8. Hi, Need some help on how best to deal with this. My OH today received her credit report which showed an entry for a current account with Co-operative Bank. She closed the account in 2007. The entry shows an overdraft balance of £156. However her statements show a balance of £0. Plus, would they have allowed the account to be closed if there was still an amount owing. Any advice please on how best to deal with this. Thanks
  9. Hello all, Has anyone encountered this before? I have an CCJ that was satisfied over 2 yearsago, yet showing on my credit reports as unsatisfied. Due to an previous issueregarding this judgement, I contacted HM Courts and Tribunal Service to getthis rectified over two months ago, and have had no response from them. I also have contacted the credit reference agencies, one of them hascorrected this while the other has informed, that the Registry Trust has saidthat the CCJ isn’t satisfied and that I have to contact the local court. I havecontacted the local court who have admitted that the CCJ is satisfied, but isat a loss as to why the Registry Trust wasn’t informed, as this is an automaticprocess. The local court will contact the Registry Trust to correct this. I am rather annoyed as I have had an job offer withdrawn because of thiserror. Any advice, would be most appreciated.
  10. I got into quite a bit of financial trouble some years back and, through hard work and kindness from my family, managed to climb out of most of it. Unfortunately, MBNA were one of my creditors and they weren't at all helpful in resolving my problems. To cut a long story short, I paid off pretty much all of my debts apart from MBNA who were receiving a minimum payment each month (and I was watching the debt reduce by maybe 5% of the minimum payment). I had a 20% pay cut and something had to give - MBNA were it. I rang them and explained what had happened and asked for help; they refused to give me any. Eventually, I didn't have any choice but to stop paying them. I'm now back on full pay, but before that happened, I received a letter from Link Financial Outsourcing telling me the debt had been passed to them for collection - all £8,000 of it. Fair enough, my own fault. I rang them and asked the guy I spoke to if I could set up a repayment plan. I racked up the debt, I expect to have to pay it back. Somewhat unbelievably to me, he refused. When I asked why, he said they like to give people time to try and arrange a full and final payment. I told him that wasn't going to be possible and that I'd like to set up a repayment plan. He refused again, again citing that I should be able to raise the funds. In three weeks. I asked how he expected me to do that and he said I could probably get it from family and friends. I told him I wasn't going to do that, couldn't do that. He said I'd have to try. I accused him of being less than helpful and he said he'd been very helpful and very reasonable - after all, he'd offered to reduce the final payment amount to £6000 and given me a month to raise it. Then he terminated the call. They called me a few more times to see if I'd raised anything. Each time I spoke to them, I asked them if I could set up a repayment plan as it wasn't going to be possible for me to raise such an amount in such a short time. They refused each time. At one point, I asked why I couldn't pay them back over time.. . I was told that because I was a home-owner, they wouldn't accept a repayment plan, they'd just take me to court. I asked what they hoped to achieve from that, and they said it was their company policy. This morning, I've received a Letter Before Action stating that court proceedings will now be issued against me by IDR Finance UK Limited (who?) without further notice. I'm pretty stressed about this and I really have no idea what to do. Please, please, help! I am not trying to weasel out of the debt - as I said, I made mistakes and I admit I owe money and I want to pay it off; but there's just no way I can pay £8000 (or even £6000) in one go. I'm terrified that they'll take me to court and somehow find a way to take my house. I don't know if that's possible, but it keeps me awake at night. I have a wife and three young children and times are tight. All I want to do is to come to some agreement with them and start paying them off! If anyone has any advice on what I should do, I'd be very grateful. Thanks for reading.
  11. Hello, I have had a loan and a credit card account with cahoot since 2004. I have not made any payments since 2008 and was sure that my credit score is all over the place I did a search on Experian and bought the full report. Nothing showed up. I have no credit history of ever taking or not repaying those accounts. In fact my credit is FAIR and the rest says: Credit History Summary: Number of credit accounts (including those settled)0 Amount of available credit (excluding mortgages) £0 % of your total credit being used (excluding mortgages) 0% Amount of outstanding debt (excluding mortgages) £0 Number of accounts overdue 0 Number of missed or late repayments in the last year 0 I don't understand, could someone explain why those accounts are not showing? I took the most enhanced version of the check, I'm not sure I can search any more. CCJ also 0 - I checked with TrustOnline. ar1607
  12. Hi, Very new to this, but have been informed that this is good site to getanswers, so here I go! I have recently checked my credit reports from Experian and Equifax and have noticed that a CCJ isn’t shown on them. I have also check the registryonline and it’s not shown on there either. The court case was back in 2009 andI have been paying the judgement amount since. Has this happened to anyone else and what does this mean? Do I have a CCJ or not? Thanks
  13. OH just got letter from MBNA selling and assigning CC debt to ARROW GLOBAL telling her to pay debt or contact AIC. This relates to CC taken out around 2001 and defaulted 2010, previously done SAR to MBNA and found lots of charges on account. Now that MBNA do not own debt we feel time is right to reclaim charges. Looking over SAR can find lots of late payment charges of £20 and £25 around 2004 - 2006 and many £12 charges 2007 -2010. Whilst I understand that reclaiming bank charges is a no no would I be able to claim back all charges for previous 6 years from now or could I only reclaim those over £12. Also is it too late to CCA MBNA, or should I in fact CCA ARROW or even AIC. My OH will not want to fight legalities of account in court even though she could win regarding T & Cs on reverse of Credit Application/agreement. So would really like to a) claim back charges from MBNA (as they have been awful to deal with). any b) put a good case to ARROW to accept a reasonable F & F settlement. and help would be welcomed, sleepingdog
  14. I received a suspended repo on my home last March and have since kept totally up to date with both the mortgage payments and the arrears (the arrears are paid separately). Yesterday, however, my DD bounced for the mortgage (the arrears element was paid last Friday) and I'm worried about what will happen. Will they simply re-apply for the DD and impose charges or will they go straight for re-possession? Some advice would be appreciated. Also, a few months ago, they asked if I wanted to capitalise my arrears because my payments had been so good, will that be something they take into consideration? To summarise, I'm not behind with my arrears payments but the DD for the mortgage has bounced and I won't have the money until next week to pay it. This is the first time since March 2009 that it has happened. Thanks
